Compliance with the Social Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP). The Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that the Programme will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP.
Compliance with the Social Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP). The Recipient shall ensure that the Programme will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP and more specifically that the following measures shall be taken: (a) all Programme activities are implemented in strict conformity with the Recipient relevant laws/regulations; (b) women and men shall be paid equal remuneration for work of equal value under the Programme; (c) recourse to child labour is not made under the Programme; and (d) all necessary and appropriate measures to implement the Gender Action Plan to ensure that women can participate and benefit equitably under the Programme are duly taken.

The Borrower shall ensure that the Programme will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP and Environment and Social Management Framework, and more specifically that the following measures shall be taken: Studies on all category A infrastructures such as fishing vessels and related post-harvest infrastructures and the preparation of Environmental and Social Management Plans based on the sub-project screening and categorisation.

The Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that the Project will be implemented in complianc e with IFAD's SECAP and more specifically that the following measures shall be taken: Environmental and social safeguards. The Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that prior to carrying out any investment in oil palm development in a given hub, an Environmental and Social Impac t Assessment (ESIA) shall have been conducted on the Project's smallholder activities (including as appropriate a High Conservation Value/High Carbon Stock assessment as well a Greenhouse Gas Emissions analysis) following the terms of reference approved by IFAD and the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) and that a complianc e certificate shall have been issued by NEMA. In addition, the Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that all ESIAs for both public and private sector investments in any of the hubs shall be disclosed in draft form in the project area, and in a form and language understandable to project-affected parties and other stakeholders, for the purposes of keeping them informed and obtaining their meaningful feedback. Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) . The Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that an ESMS shall be established within 12 months from the date of entry into force of this Agreement to provide an appropriate framework for environmental and social risk management. As part of it, the Borrower shall ensure that annual environmental and social audits are carried out using independent experts.

The State shall cause the LPA to ensure that the Project Implementation Manual reflects the recommendations of the SECAP as they apply to the Project objectives and activities and as provided in Section II of this Agreement.

The Borrower shall ensure that the Project will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP guidelines and Government of Kenya’s Environmental Laws, and more specifically: in line with the Environment and Social Management Framework (ESMF), the Environmental and Social Management Plans, the basic climate risk analysis as included in the ESMF. The Borrower shall enhance positive environmental and social outcomes during project implementation and mitigate negative impacts. The Borrower will also ensure that the Free, Prior and Informed Consent Process will be followed to ensure active participation of indigenous in the project areas.

The Borrower shall ensure that the Project will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP guidelines and Government of Kenya’s Environmental Laws, and more specifically: in line with the in depth climate risk analysis, the Environment and Social Management Framework, the Environmental and Social Management Plans, the Integrated Pesticides Management Plan and the Indigenous Peoples Planning Framework and Plan. The borrower shall enhance positive environmental and social outcomes during project implementation and mitigate negative impacts. The borrower will also ensure that the procedures and guidelines in the Indigenous Peoples Planning Framework and Plan, guide engagement with indigenous peoples through the Free, Prior and Informed Consent Process to ensure their active participation in the process of developing indigenous peoples action plans.
Compliance with the Social Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP). The Borrower/Recipient shall ensure that the Project will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP and more specifically that the following measures shall be taken: water infrastructure and rural feeder roads technical groups will be formed for preparing rehabilitation and maintenance plans. The structure and road designs will adopt innovative climate smart solutions and also promote good environmental management. The interventions will comply with the Sri Lanka Environmental Management Act (EMA), the Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment of IFAD and IFAD’s SECAP requirements.
Compliance with the Social Environmental and Climate Assessment Procedures (SECAP). The Borrower shall ensure that the Project will be implemented in compliance with IFAD's SECAP and more specifically that the following measures shall be taken:
(a) all Project activities are implemented in strict conformity with the Borrower relevant laws/regulations; (b) proposals for civil works include confirmation that no involuntary land acquisition or resettlement is required under the Project. In the event of unforeseen land acquisition or involuntary resettlement under the Project, the Borrower shall immediately inform the Fund and prepare the necessary planning documents; (c) women and men shall be paid equal remuneration for work of equal value under the Project;
