Continuing Education Time. The Employer shall provide all employees with a 28 minimum of five (5) days of paid leave annually for purposes of attending professional meetings, 1 seminars and classes to earn continuing education. For purposes of this section, professional meetings 2 shall be defined as: short-term conferences for professional growth and development of the individual 3 nurses related to nursing, and/or meetings and committee activities of the professional association at 4 the national, state or district level which are designed to develop and promote the programs of the 5 professional association in improving the quality and availability of nursing service and health care or 6 training. Conferences or portions of conferences relating solely to union business are not considered 7 professional meetings.

Continuing Education Time. The County shall provide all employees with a 18 minimum of five (5) days of paid leave annually for purposes of attending professional meetings, 19 seminars and classes to earn continuing education. Continuing education requests necessary to 20 maintain licensure will be given priority. For purposes of this section, professional meetings shall be 21 defined as: short-term conferences for professional growth and development of the individual nurses 22 related to nursing, and/or meetings and committee activities of the professional association at the 23 national, state or district level which are designed to develop and promote the programs of the 24 professional association in improving the quality and availability of nursing service and health care or 25 training. Conferences or portions of conferences relating solely to union business are not considered 26 professional meetings.
Continuing Education Time a. Full-time regular physicians or dentists who have at least six (6) months continuous service with the County shall be allowed up to seven (7) days (56 hours) time off with pay per fiscal year to attend workshops, seminars and conferences directly related to the doctor’s work assignment for the County. This would also include online internet continuing medical education (CME) and/or continuing education courses.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Level Three - Board of Education If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his grievance at Level Two, or if no decision has been rendered within ten (10) school days after the presentation of the grievance to the Superintendent, he may file the grievance in writing with the Association within five (5) school days after the decision of Level Two or ten (10) school days after the grievance was presented, whichever is sooner. Within five (5) school days after receiving the written grievance, the Association shall refer it to the Board of Education through the Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.
