Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 31.1 Admissible tenders will be checked for arithmetical errors by the Evaluation Committee. Errors will be corrected as follows:
(a) where there is a discrepancy between amounts in figures and in words, the amount in words will prevail;
(b) where there is a discrepancy between a unit price and the total amount derived from the multiplication of the unit price and the quantity, the unit price as quoted will prevail.
31.2 The amount stated in the tender will be adjusted by the Evaluation Committee in the event of error, and the tenderer will be bound by that adjusted amount. In this regard, the Evaluation Committee shall seek the prior approval of the General Contracts Committee to communicate the revised price to the tenderer. If the tenderer does not accept the adjustment, his tender will be rejected and his tender guarantee forfeited.
31.3 When analysing the tender, the evaluation committee will determine the final tender price after adjusting it on the basis of Clause 31.1.
Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 31.1 Provided that the tender is substantially responsive, the Employer shall correct arithmetical errors on the following basis: (a) if there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the total price shall prevail and the unit price shall be corrected, (b) if there is an error in a total corresponding to the addition or subtraction of subtotals, the total shall prevail and the subtotals shall be corrected; and (c) if there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail.
Correction of Arithmetical Errors. Provided that a Financial Bid is substantially responsive, the procuring Entity will correct arithmetical errors during evaluation of Financial Bids on the following basis:-
(i) If there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall prevail and the total price shall be corrected, unless in the opinion of the Procuring Entity there is an obvious misplacement of the decimal point in the unit price, in which case the total price as quoted shall govern and the unit price shall be corrected;
(ii) If there is an error in a total corresponding to the addition or subtraction of subtotals, the subtotals shall prevail and the total shall be corrected; and
(iii) If there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail, unless the amount expressed in words is related to an arithmetic error, in which case the amount in figures shall prevail subject to (i) and (ii) above.
(iv) If the Bidder that submitted the lowest evaluated Bid does not accept the correction of errors, its Bid shall be disqualified and its Bid Security shall be forfeited .

Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 30.1 The tender sum as submitted and read out during the tender opening shall be absolute and final and shall not be the subject of correction, adjustment or amendment in anyway by any person or entity.
30.2 Provided that the Tender is substantially responsive, the Procuring Entity shall handle errors on the following basis: a Any error detected if considered a major deviation that affects the substance of the tender, shall lead to disqualification of the tender as non-responsive. b Any errors in the submitted tender arising from a miscalculation of unit price, quantity, subtotal and total bid price shall be considered as a major deviation that affects the substance of the tender and shall lead to disqualification of the tender as non-responsive. and c If there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail, unless the amount expressed in words is related to an arithmetic error, in which case the amount in figures shall prevail
Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 31.1 Provided that the bid is substantially responsive, the Employer shall correct arithmetical errors on the following basis: (a) Only for ad measurement contracts, if there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall prevail and the total price shall be corrected, unless in the opinion of the Employer there is an obvious misplacement of the decimal point in the unit price, in which case the total price as quoted shall govern and the unit price shall be corrected; (b) Only for ad measurement contracts, if there is an error in a total corresponding to the addition or subtraction of subtotals, the subtotals shall prevail and the total shall be corrected; and (c) If there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail, unless, only for ad measurement contracts, the amount expressed in words is related to an arithmetic error, in which case the amount in figures shall prevail subject to (a) and (b) above.
Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 34.1 Provided that the tender is substantially responsive, the Procuring Entity shall correct arithmetical errors on the following basis:
i) If there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall prevail and the total price shall be corrected, unless in the opinion of the Procuring Entity there is an obvious misplacement of the decimal point in the unit price, in which case the total price as quoted shall govern and the unit price shall be corrected;
ii) If there is an error in a total corresponding to the addition or subtraction of subtotals, the subtotals shall prevail and the total shall be corrected; and
iii) If there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail, unless the amount expressed in words is related to an arithmetic error, in which case the amount in figures shall prevail subject to (a) and (b) above.
34.2 Any error detected if considered a major deviation that affects the substance of the tender, shall lead to disqualification of the tender as non- responsive. The method of determining the error as a major deviation shall be specified in the TDS.
34.3 Corrected tender prices shall not be used in the evaluation of tenders, comparison of tender prices.
34.4 The Procuring Entity shall calculate the difference between the corrected price and tender price and work out the percentage difference, which will be plus or minus tender price as the case may be; [i.
Correction of Arithmetical Errors. 36.1 During the evaluation of Price Bids, the Employer shall correct arithmetical errors on the following basis:
(a) where there are errors between the total of the amounts given under the column for the price breakdown and the amount given under the Total Price, the amounts given under the column for the price breakdown shall prevail and the Total Price will be corrected accordingly;
(b) where there are errors between the total of the amounts of Schedule Nos. 1 to 4 and the amount given in Schedule No. 5 (Grand Summary), the total of the amounts of Schedule Nos. 1 to 4 shall prevail and the Schedule No. 5 (Grand Summary) will be corrected accordingly;
(c) if there is a discrepancy between the grand total price given in Schedule No. 5 (Grand Summary) and the bid amount in item (c) of the Letter of Price Bid, the grand total price given in Schedule No. 5 (Grand Summary) will prevail and the bid amount in item (c) of the Letter of Price Bid will be corrected; and
(d) if there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words shall prevail, unless the amount expressed in words is related to Single-Stage: Two-Envelop Procurement of Plant Bidding Document for EESL/06/2023-24/ICB/ADB/Solar/232402035
Section 1: Instructions to Bidders 1-23 an arithmetical error, in which case the amount in figures shall prevail subject to (a), (b), and (c) above.
36.2 If the Bidder that submitted the lowest evaluated Bid does not accept the correction of errors, its Bid shall be disqualified and its bid security may be forfeited or its Bid-Securing Declaration executed.

(ii) limit in any substantial way, inconsistent with the Bidding Documents, the Employer’s rights or the Bidder’s obligations under the proposed Contract; or
(b) if rectified, would unfairly affect the competitive position of other Bidders presenting substantially responsive bids.
29.3 The Employer shall examine the technical aspects of the bid submitted in accordance with ITB 16, Technical Proposal, in particular, to confirm that all requirements of Section VI, Works Requirements have been met without any material deviation, reservation or omission.
29.4 If a bid is not substantially responsive to the requirements of the Bidding Documents, it shall be rejected by the Employer and may not subsequently be made responsive by correction of the material deviation, reservation, or omission.
30.1 Provided that a bid is substantially responsive, the Employer may waive any nonconformities in the Bid.
30.2 Provided that a bid is substantially responsive, the Employer may request that the Bidder submit the necessary information or documentation, within a reasonable period of time, to rectify nonmaterial nonconformities in the bid related to documentation requirements. Requesting information or documentation on such nonconformities shall not be related to any aspect of the price of the Bid. Failure of the Bidder to comply with the request may result in the rejection of its Bid.
30.3 Provided that a bid is substantially responsive, the Employer shall rectify quantifiable nonmaterial nonconformities related to the Bid Price. To this effect, the Bid Price shall be adjusted, for comparison purposes only, to reflect the price of a missing or non- conforming item or component.The adjustment shall be made using the method specified in Section III, Evaluation and Qualification Criteria.
