Credit for previous employment when a member of the unit applies for a vacancy, full credit will be given to all applicants for previous teaching experience. When no member of the unit applies, the Superintendent may, in his/her discretion, deem what the appropriate credit shall be for previous teaching experience.

Credit for previous employment. Faculty members who have been previously employed by the College shall have this experience counted towards the minimum service requirement on a full-time equivalent basis. However, regardless of the number of years of service accumulated, no regular faculty member claiming contract or regular experience for minimum service requirements shall be eligible to take Educational Leave until he/she has completed two years of regular service.
Credit for previous employment. New Employees may claim previous related work experience for placement on the salary grid. It will be the responsibility of the Employee to provide proof of previous related work experience to the Board in the form of a letter from their previous Employer(s) stating the position held and the duration of time employed. The Employee must provide the required documentation within sixty (60) days from the start of employment with the Board or forfeit the right to claim related work experience for placement on the salary grid. If the required documentation cannot be obtained within this time frame, the Employee must satisfy the Board that he/she is making a determined effort to obtain the documentation as soon as possible.
Credit for previous employment. Should a classified employee newly hired by the Board have previous experience outside the district in that job classification, the Board will grant no credit for previous experience and the individual will start at the first step of the salary scale.

  • Re-employment After Voluntary Termination or Dismissal for Cause Where an employee voluntarily leaves the Employer's service, or is dismissed for cause and is later re-engaged, seniority and all perquisites shall date only from the time of re-employment, according to regulations applying to new employees.
