CULTURAL RESOURCES AND TRIBAL CULTURAL RESOURCES. LSA will complete the following tasks for the IS/MND: ■ Conduct Records Searches and Literature Review. A records search at the Northwest Information Center at Sonoma State University will be done to identify previously recorded cultural resources within, and cultural resource studies of, the project site. A review of the Native American Heritage Commission’s Sacred Lands File will also be completed to identify sites of Native American concern in or adjacent to the project site. Appropriate archaeological, ethnographic, historical, and geological literature will be reviewed to assess the potential for cultural resources at the project site.

CULTURAL RESOURCES AND TRIBAL CULTURAL RESOURCES. In addition, CONSULTANT will retain Subcontractor InContext to perform a cultural resources survey and impact evaluation and to assist in tribal notifications and outreach for the project. Although not necessarily required for the County project review pursuant to CEQA, this scope of work provides for InContext’s preparation of a Historic Properties Inventory and Finding of Effect (Cultural Report) for the project, intended to be sufficient for the COUNTY’s CEQA analysis as well as for use by federal agencies from whom project authorizations may be needed. CONSULTANT and InContext will define the horizontal and vertical Area of Potential Effects (APE) for the project, as it relates to archaeological resources. InContext will request that Records Search File No. 13-0597, originally conducted in November of 2013 for the project, be updated by the Northwest Information Center (NWIC) at Sonoma State University. The search will include any new information since November 2013 for cultural resource surveys; identified archaeological sites and historic-period resources; and resources listed or determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), California Register of Historical Resources (CRHR), California State Historical Landmarks (SHI), California Points of Interest (POI), and Local Surveys. Copies of all updated resource documentation will be requested. InContext will also request the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) to check their Sacred Lands file for information regarding known traditional or cultural lands within the project area or vicinity. CONSULTANT and InContext will conduct background research to identify potentially interested parties as defined by Section 106 and California Native American Tribes as defined by Public Resources Code Sections 20180.3.1 and 21080.3.2 (aka AB 52) and will coordinate with the Revised 10/1/07 FORM/Amendment to Contract COUNTY to identify Native American tribal representatives having requested notifications. Potentially interested parties typically include local historical societies and museums, descendants of former occupants of the land, the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC), and local Native American individuals and/or organizations. CONSULTANT and InContext will draft a letter on behalf of the COUNTY to send to Tribes and potentially interested parties.   • Cultural Resources If a cultural resource is discovered, the Purchaser shall immediately suspend all operations in the vicinity of the cultural resource and notify the Forest Officer. Operations may only resume if authorized by the Forest Officer. Cultural resources identified and protected elsewhere in this contract are exempted from this clause. Cultural resources, once discovered or identified, are not to be disturbed by the Purchaser, or his, her or its employees and/or sub- contractors.

  • COUNTY’S QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN The County or its agent will evaluate the Contractor’s performance under this Contract on not less than an annual basis. Such evaluation will include assessing the Contractor’s compliance with all Contract terms and conditions and performance standards. Contractor deficiencies which the County determines are severe or continuing and that may place performance of the Contract in jeopardy if not corrected will be reported to the Board of Supervisors. The report will include improvement/corrective action measures taken by the County and the Contractor. If improvement does not occur consistent with the corrective action measures, the County may terminate this Contract or impose other penalties as specified in this Contract.

  • CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Cultural Diversity Requirement generally does not add units to a student's program. Rather, it is intended to be fulfilled by choosing courses from the approved list that also satisfy requirements in other areas of the student’s program; the exception is that Cultural Diversity courses may not satisfy Culture and Language Requirements for B.S. students. For example, Anthropology 120 can fulfill (3) units of the Behavioral Science requirement and (3) units of the Cultural Diversity requirement. This double counting of a class may only be done with the Cultural Diversity requirement. Courses in Cultural Diversity may be taken at the lower-division or upper-division level. U . S .
