5.2.3 SYSTEM MUST VALIDATE FOR PROPER DATA FORMAT AND REASONABILITY (ALPHA, NUMERIC, DECIMAL, SIZE, DATES, ETC.) The system WILL validate for proper data format and reasonability (alpha, numeric, decimal, size, dates, etc.)
5.2.4 FIELDS THAT HAVE A SPECIFIED NUMBER OF ACCEPTABLE VALUES MUST BE VALIDATED AGAINST TABLES. Fields that have a specified number of acceptable values WILL be validated against tables.
5.2.5 MUST ALLOW SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR TO ADD, DELETE AND MODIFY TABLE ENTRIES FOR VALIDATION. BIDDER MUST DESCRIBE HOW VALIDATION TABLES ARE UPDATED. The system WILL allow System Administrator to add, delete and modify table entries for validation. This functionality is allowed only to individuals who have been given this permission (usually the System Administrator) through specialized ForceField update utilities. The System Administrator will be fully trained by XImage Corporation training personnel in performing this function.
5.2.6 MUST HAVE CHECKS TO ENSURE ALL MANDATORY FIELDS ARE ENTERED. This information can be used in routine management and also in detection and management of incidents. Premises Cooperative systems should aim to exploit on the whole range of different kinds of sensor information that are available. In particular, location-based sensors, such as GPS based mobile sensors, are becoming widely used and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) mobile sen- sors are found in abundance in commercial fleets such as UPS, FedEx, taxis and public trans- port vehicles. Furthermore, intelligent vehicles have many additional sensors as well as location sensors, including environmental sensors (weather conditions), proximity sensors, image-based sensors, and several kinds of internal monitoring and management sensors. These additional sensors offer the opportunity to capture a much richer set of data than that supplied by conven- tional road sensors.
