DEFINITION OF STRIKE. Strike means an Employee’s refusal in concerted action with others, to report for duty, or his or her willful absence from his or her position, or his or her stoppage of work, or his or her absence in whole or in part from full, faithful, or proper performance of his or her duties of employment, for the purpose of inducing, influencing, or coercing a change in the conditions, compensation, rights, privileges, or obligations of public employment.

DEFINITION OF STRIKE. For the purposes of this lease, the term "strike" shall mean the determination by the City of Raleigh that a regulated activity occurred at the Premises (see §12-2163(m)):. Each regulated activity had a different number of occurrences which are allowed before a property is placed on probationary status.
DEFINITION OF STRIKE. During the life of this Agreement or any extensions hereof, the F.O.P., on behalf of the employees, agrees that there shall be no strikes of any kind. The term, "strike", shall have the same definition for purposes of this Agreement as is contained in 4117.01(H) of the Ohio Revised Code. Any employee who is absent from work without permission, or abstains from performance of his assigned duties in a normal manner without permission, on the date or dates when a strike or job action occurs, shall be presumed to have engaged in such a strike on such date or dates. SECTION 2 -
DEFINITION OF STRIKE. The term “strike” shall include a failure to report for work because of a primary or secondary picket line at the Employer’s premises, and any slowdown, sit down, walk out, sick out or any withholding of labor during working hours for any unexcused reason.
DEFINITION OF STRIKE and "lockout" The definitions of the words "strike" and "lockout", for the purposes of this Collective Agreement, are as defined in The Labour Relations Act of Manitoba.

  • Definition of Shifts (a) A shift starting on or after 6:00 a.m., but before 9:00 a.m. is a day shift.

  • Definition of Sole Source As used in this Article 3.2.16, “Sole Source” means a Trade Contractor or Supplier or Subcontractor specified by name in a Bulletin as the exclusive source from which conforming goods or services may be obtained. Designation of goods or services by reference to a named source accompanied by the qualification “or equal” or similar language is not a designation of a Sole Source as that term is defined herein.

  • Definition of Service Fast Post‐Fault Active Power Recovery is the recovery of a Providing Unit’s MW Output to at least 90% of its pre‐Fault Disturbance MW Output within 250ms of the voltage at the Providing Unit’s Connection Point recovering to at least 90% of its pre‐Fault Disturbance value for any Fault Disturbance that is cleared within 900ms. The Providing Unit must be exporting Active Power to the Power System and must remain connected to the Power System for at least 15 minutes following the Fault Disturbance.

  • Definition of Grievance A grievance shall be defined as any difference arising out of the interpretation, application, administration, or alleged violation of the Collective Agreement.

  • Definition of Layoff A layoff shall be defined as a reduction in the work force or a reduction in the regular hours of work as defined in this Agreement.

  • Definition of Sick Leave Sick leave means the period of time an Employee is absent from work because of disability due to illness or injury not covered by Workers’ Compensation.

  • Definition of Seniority Seniority shall be defined as the length of an employee's continuous service with the Employer, commencing with his/her last date of full-time hire. The application of seniority shall be limited to the preferences specifically recited in this Agreement.

  • Definition of Dependent The definition of a dependent shall include the domestic partner of an employee and the dependents of such domestic partner. Any employee claiming a domestic partner and/or the dependents of such domestic partner for purposes of this Article shall have an approved City Affidavit of Domestic Partnership form or a registered State of California Declaration of Domestic Partnership form on file in the Employee Benefits Office, Personnel Department, which identifies that individual as the employee’s domestic partner.

  • Definition of Building Where Lift Required 1.1 A passenger/materials lift shall be provided on a building which shall, when complete, consist of more than six (6) storey levels excluding the roof, parapets and basement levels (if any), but including the ground floor. (Refer to Sub Clause 2.1 herein.)
