DEFINITION OF VACANCIES. A vacancy is defined as existing when a position in the bargaining unit is intended to be filled by someone not now employed by the Board.
DEFINITION OF VACANCIES. A vacancy shall be defined as a position within the district presently unfilled including newly created positions, as well as such positions currently filled but anticipated to be open in the future. An open position shall not be labeled an “unfilled” position when teachers are scheduled to return to teaching positions from Board approved leaves of absences and/or reduction in force. Under such circumstances, posting will not occur for open positions until returning teachers have been assigned.
