In lieu of being laid off, a regular employee may elect demotion and displacement in lieu of lay-off in the same department, to a class previously held by said employee with a lower salary range or to a lower class within a class series which the employee either holds or previously held a class. Class series means a class with the same title but different levels as identified as I, II, III, with a possible IV.

NYISO or Transmission Owner shall coordinate with the Developer using Good Utility Practice to schedule the reduction or disconnection during periods of least impact to the Developer and the New York State Transmission System. Any reduction or disconnection shall continue only for so long as reasonably necessary under Good Utility Practice. The Parties shall cooperate with each other to restore the Large Generating Facility, the Attachment Facilities, and the New York State Transmission System to their normal operating state as soon as practicable consistent with Good Utility Practice.

  • Retirement in Lieu of Layoff 9.9.1 Any member in the bargaining unit may elect to accept a service retirement in lieu of layoff, voluntary demotion, or reduction in assigned time.
