DEPARTMENTS A. 1. No new department shall be created, nor any existing department abolished, merged with any other department or divided into two (2) or more departments, without prior notice and discussion with the Departmental Coordinating Committee.
DEPARTMENTS A. 1. A faculty member may be reassigned by the Academic Vice President, from one department to another in the event that his or her scholarly preparation, teaching assignments, preference and interests would be better served through such a reassignment. Such reassignment shall be made in consultation with the faculty member and the departments affected. In the event that a department or the faculty member objects to such reassignment, they may submit their objection to the Departmental Coordinating Committee which, in turn, shall make a written recommendation, with as much specificity as possible, to the President for decision.
