DESIGN FOR CONSTRUCTION. Upon written direction from the Owner, after reviewing with the Owner the Preliminary Design required by Section 3 above, and after incorporating any changes or alterations authorized or directed by the Owner with respect to the Preliminary Design or with respect to the Owner's Criteria, as, and if, modified, and in no event later than days after the effective date of this Contract, the Architect shall draft and submit to the Owner the Design for Construction. The Design for Construction shall include, but shall not necessarily be limited to, plans and specifications which describe with specificity all systems, elements, details, components, materials, equipment, and other information necessary for construction. The Design for Construction shall be accurate, coordinated and in all respects adequate for construction and shall be in conformity, and comply, with all applicable law, codes and regulations. Products, equipment and materials specified for use shall be readily available unless written authorization to the contrary is given by the Owner. In preparing the Design for Construction, the Architect shall retain an experienced, qualified geotechnical consultant to evaluate all geotechnical considerations relating to the design and construction of the Project. The Architect shall be responsible for designing the Project in accordance with the analyses and recommendations of its geotechnical consultant.

DESIGN FOR CONSTRUCTION. Where construction is contemplated by the Project Scope of Services Form, a Design for Construction shall be prepared in accordance with these provisions. If required by the Scope of Services Form, the Consultant shall be responsible for designing the Project in accordance with the analyses and recommendations of its geotechnical engineer.

In preparing the Design for Construction, including without limitation any changes thereto, Architect shall, as and when necessary, file and review all plans and specifications with all departments, divisions and offices of the State of Georgia and of Xxxxxx County having jurisdiction and requiring such filing or review, including without limitation the State of Georgia Department of Education, State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Xxxxxx County Building Department, Xxxxxx County Development Department and Xxxxxx County Fire Xxxxxxxx, and incorporate all required review comments into the plans and specifications. The Design for Construction shall be accurate, coordinated and in all respects adequate for construction and shall be in strict conformity, and strictly comply, with all applicable law, codes and regulations, and with all standards, criteria (including the Owner’s Criteria), and memoranda of policy furnished by Owner. Products, equipment and materials specified for use shall be readily available unless written authorization to the contrary is given by Owner. In preparing the Design for Construction, Architect shall retain an experienced, qualified geotechnical consultant to evaluate all geotechnical considerations relating to the design and construction of the Project. DESIGN FOR CONSTRUCTION. 1. Upon written direction from the Owner, after reviewing with the Owner the Preliminary Design required by Article 4 above, and after incorporating any changes or alterations authorized or directed by the Owner with respect to the Preliminary Design or with respect to the Owner’s Criteria, as, and if, modified, and no later than agreed by Owner and Architect after the approval of preliminary design, the Architect shall draft and submit to the Owner the Design for Construction. The Design for Construction shall include, but shall not necessarily be limited to, plans and specifications which describe with specificity all systems, elements, details, components, materials, equipment and other information necessary for construction in accordance with the standard of care. In accordance with the standard of care described in Article 1 of this Agreement, the Design for construction shall be accurate, coordinated and in all respects adequate for construction “as is.” While the utility of communications between design professionals and construction contractors for the purpose of clarifying design intent is recognized, the project should be capable of construction without the necessity of formal revisions or modifications to provide missing design information after construction contract is awarded. The Design for Construction shall be in conformity and comply with all applicable law, codes and regulations. The Architect shall attend any required plan reviews with local officials and shall inform the Owner in sufficient time for the Owner to attend. Products, equipment and materials specified for use shall be readily available unless written authorization to the contrary is given by the Owner. In preparing the Design for Construction, the Architect shall, subject to County’s approval, retain an experienced, qualified geotechnical consultant to evaluate all geotechnical considerations relating to the design and construction of the Project. The Architect shall be responsible for designing the Project in accordance with the analyses and recommendations of its geotechnical consultant. The County will provide the Architect with a survey that provides spot elevations, topographic contours and identifies all existing utility locations on the property that is to be developed. The survey fee is to be paid directly by the County to the Surveyor and is not part of (the Architect) base fee or reimbursable fees.

  • Contract Construction 6.27.1 The parties acknowledge that each party and its counsel have reviewed this CONTRACT and that the normal rule of construction to the effect that any ambiguities are to be resolved against the drafting party shall not be employed in the interpretation of this CONTRACT or any amendment or exhibits hereto.

  • Design and Construction In complying with the requirements of the specification both with respect to arrangement and detail, design is to conform to the best current engineering practice. Each of the several parts of the material is to be of the maker’s standard design provided that this design is in general accordance with the specification. The essence of design should be simplicity and reliability in order to give long continuous service with high economy and low maintenance cost. Particular attention should be paid to internal and external access in order to facilitate inspection, cleaning and maintenance. The design dimensions and materials of all parts are to be such that they will not suffer damage as a result of stresses under the most severe conditions. Fully detailed specifications of the several parts of the material are to be submitted describing particularly the materials to be used. The materials used in the construction of the material are to be of the highest quality and selected particularly to meet the duties required of them. Mechanisms are to be constructed to avoid sticking due to rust or corrosion. Workmanship and general finish are to be of the highest class throughout. All similar parts of the material are to be interchangeable. All equipment is to operate without undue vibration and with the least possible amount of noise and is not to cause a nuisance. All equipment is to be designed to minimize the risk of fire and any damage, which may be caused in the event of fire. The equipment is also to be designed to prevent ingress of all vermin, accidental contact with live parts and to minimize the ingress of dust and dirt. The use of materials, which may be liable to attack by termites or other insects, is to be avoided.

  • Project Construction The Contractor agrees to provide continuous on-site supervision on each Job Order, while progress on the project is being accomplished. The Contractor’s Project Manager will ensure:

  • ICIF Construction The ICIF shall be designed and constructed in accordance with Good Utility Practice. Within one hundred twenty (120) Calendar Days after the Commercial Operation Date, unless the Parties agree on another mutually acceptable deadline, Interconnection Customer shall deliver to Transmission Provider and Transmission Owner “as-built” drawings, information and documents for the ICIF, such as: a one-line diagram, a site plan showing the Generating Facility and the ICIF, plan and elevation drawings showing the layout of the ICIF, a relay functional diagram, relaying AC and DC schematic wiring diagrams and relay settings for all facilities associated with the Interconnection Customer’s step-up transformers, the facilities connecting the Generating Facility to the step-up transformers and the ICIF, and the impedances (determined by factory tests) for the associated step-up transformers and the Generating Facility. Interconnection Customer shall provide Transmission Provider and Transmission Owner with Interconnection Customer’s specifications for the excitation system, automatic voltage regulator, Generating Facility control and protection settings, transformer tap settings, and communications, if applicable.

  • ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTIONS The Promoter undertakes that it has no right to make additions or to put up additional structure(s) anywhere in the Project after the building plan has been approved by the competent authority(ies) except for as provided in the Act.
