Disability Pool. The County agrees to maintain the current disability pool system. If agreement amongst all Unions is achieved, the parties agree that this system may be replaced by participation in the State Disability Program. The County’s decision as to an employee’s eligibility to use the disability pool will not be arbitrarily or unreasonably denied. Decision of the Director of Human Resources shall be rendered within 10 calendar days and such decision may be challenged through the grievance process of this agreement. Employees may reapply for maximum pool benefits after full repayment of same.
