DIVISION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION. Students applying for admission to the Division of Continuing Education submit application materials to the education center where they wish to attend. A qualified applicant is considered to be matriculated (degree-seeking) when all required admission documents have been received and verified by the education center. Students may enroll in courses prior to matriculation; however, students using financial aid should check with the Financial Aid Office to see how matriculation status affects the awarding of aid.

DIVISION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION. Saint Xxx University's academic programs are also available at a number of established education centers which are overseen by the Division of Continuing Education. The education centers are designed to meet the special needs of working adults and students seeking career advancement or professional growth. The programs feature flexible and reliable schedules (evening and weekend courses are normally offered), individualized professional educational advising, and small classes. The Division of Continuing Education provides academic and administrative services at education centers in various locations in California, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas. Community College Campus Centers. The Division of Continuing Education has education centers located on 16 community college campuses in Florida, affording students at College of Central Florida, Santa Fe College, Saint Xxxxx River State College, North Florida Community College, Florida Keys Community College, Florida Gateway College, Lake Sumter Community College, Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx State Transfer to Saint Xxx University. Saint Xxx University is a signatory to the general articulation agreement between the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida and the Division of Florida Colleges. Thus, students accepted for admission to Saint Xxx University with an associate of arts degree from any of Florida's twenty-eight community colleges are guaranteed junior standing in their chosen program of study at the university campus or at any Saint Xxx Education Center in Florida. In addition, provided that they have maintained continuous enrollment at the community college, upon formal application to Saint Xxx they may elect to matriculate under the Saint Xxx University Catalog in effect at the time of formal application to the University or the catalog in effect at the time of matriculation with the community college. (Enrollment is considered non-continuous when a student does not enroll during two or more consecutive semesters, excluding summer.)

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Payment of Extraordinary Education Related Expenses Section 5.1. PAYMENT OF EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATION-RELATED EXPENSES. In addition to the amounts determined pursuant to Articles IV and VI of this Agreement, Applicant on an annual basis shall also indemnify and reimburse District for all non-reimbursed costs, certified by the District’s external auditor to have been incurred by the District for extraordinary education-related expenses directly and solely related to the project that are not directly funded in state aid formulas, including expenses for the purchase of portable classrooms and the hiring of additional personnel to accommodate a temporary increase in student enrollment caused directly by such project. Applicant shall have the right to contest the findings of the District’s external auditor pursuant to Section 4.9 above.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • General Education Requirements Students who intend to transfer to SUNY Buffalo State College with an A.A. or A.S. degree, will be considered as having fulfilled general education/Intellectual Foundations as long as they complete the 30 credits and 7 of 10 areas of SUNY-GER requirements prior to the start of their studies at SUNY Buffalo State College. Students should have successfully completed the SUNY-GER Basic Communication requirement with a grade of “C” or better, the mathematics requirement, and 5 of the remaining 8 categories. The student is responsible for fulfilling the SUNY Buffalo State College Diversity requirement.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.
