Dormant Accounts. If you have not made a withdrawal from, or a deposit to, your Account for an extended period of time and we have been unable to contact you, your Account may be classified by us as dormant. Subject to applicable law, we may charge a dormant account fee on the Account, and the Account will be presumed to be abandoned. In accordance with state law, funds in abandoned accounts will be remitted to the custody of the applicable state agency, and we will have no further liability to you for such funds. We reserve the right not to send statements on accounts we consider dormant, subject to applicable law. ACCOUNT STATEMENTS. You are responsible for promptly examining your statement each statement period and reporting any irregularities to us. Each account statement will be considered to correctly reflect your transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, credits, refunds, imposition of fees, interest or dividends, and other additions and subtractions to your Account, unless you notify us in writing within certain time limits after the statement that incorrectly reflects your transactions is made available to you. We will not be liable for any check that is altered or any signature that is forged unless you notify us within Thirty (30) calendar days after the statement and the altered or forged item(s) are made available. Also, we will not be liable for any subsequent items paid, in good faith, containing an unauthorized signature or alteration by the same wrongdoer unless you notify us within Ten (10) calendar days after the statement and first altered or forged items were made available. You must report any other Account problem including encoding errors, and errors involving additions or subtractions (debits and credits) not otherwise covered herein, including electronic transactions not covered by the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, within Thirty (30) calendar days. If the suspected account problem involves a substitute check that you receive, you may (under some circumstances) be entitled to make a claim for an expedited refund. If you have requested us to hold your Account statements, we have the right to mail your statements if you have not claimed them within Thirty (30) calendar days. Dormant Accounts. If you do not use your Account for a period of up to 90 (ninety) days it may become “dormant”. This means that you will not be able to use the Account or access any credit balance in your Account. To access a dormant Account or claim any credit balance in the Account, you will have to contact us through our Call Centre or visit any of our branches. We may ask you for information and documents to support your claim. We will give you at least 1 (one) month’s written notice before your Account becomes dormant. When you claim a dormant balance, we will add interest to your balance if it would have earned interest had your Account not become dormant. If the interest terms that last applied before your Account became dormant have ceased to be offered, the amount of interest will be the amount that we paid on similar accounts and balances in the relevant period.

You understand that your account balance may be escheated (that is, turned over to the state) in accordance with state law.

Dormant Accounts. 19.1. If we lose contact with you despite repeated attempts through all possible channels (i.e. phone, email or post) for three years (in case of Fixed Term deposits- three years after maturity), we may treat your account as being inactive to help mitigate the risk of fraudulent activity. This means that we will stop contacting you or sending you statements by email.

Dormant Accounts. If your account has been inactive, you will be charged the fee specified (see separate fee schedule) and, unless applicable law otherwise provides, we may stop paying interest on your account.
Dormant Accounts. 15.1. The Company, under the terms and conditions of this Agreement and in accordance with its internal policies and procedures, reserves the right in its absolute discretion, to create a dormant accounts policy and/or to impose on any dormant and/or inactive account a handling fee of USD 3 (three) or the equivalent to USD per account per month and/or close the trading account upon and/or after the period of 6 (six) consecutive months of inactivity in the following cases:
Dormant Accounts. Client accounts in which there have been no transactions for a set period of twelve (12) consecutive months will be considered dormant. Dormant accounts are charged with a dormant fee of US$25 or the full amount of the free balance in the account if the free balance is less than US$25. There will be no charge if the free balance is zero. If an account continues to be considered as “Dormant”, the above-mentioned dormant fee will be performed semi-annually (in other words every six (6) months).
Dormant Accounts. If there is no activity (Massachusetts 3 years, New Hampshire 5 years) and you have not contacted us about your account for the period of time prescribed by state law, your account may be considered abandoned property, and must be turned over to the state authority in which you reside. We will attempt to notify you in writing at least 60 days prior to turning over the account to the state. Such notification will include instructions on how you may prevent remittance of the funds to the state authority. An escheatment fee may be charged for the processing of abandoned property to the state authority.
