Duration of Eligibility Lists. An eligibility list shall remain in effect for one (1) year from the date the list is established. The Chief of Police may request a six (6) month extension from the Director of Human Resources. At the discretion of the Director of Human Resources, the eligibility list may be extended for an additional six (6) months, for a total of eighteen (18) months. The eligibility list for sergeant will expire at any time during the duration of the eligibility list when there are less than three (3) names on the list. The eligibility list for lieutenant will expire at any time during the duration of the eligibility list when there are less than two (2) names on the list.

Duration of Eligibility Lists. An eligibility list shall remain in effect for a twenty-four (24) month period from the date the HRD receives the oral board’s report referenced in Section 14.8. However, the list shall expire at any time during the twenty-four month period when there are less than three (3) names on the list.
