Education Leave Funding. 1. The Education Leave Program will be funded by the Board in the amount of: a. $160,000 for the 2014-2015 school year; b. $160,000 for the 2015-2016 school year; c. $160,000 for the 2016-2017 school year. 2. While a Member is on a Short-Term Educational Leave, all provisions of the Collective Agreement, as they applied to the Member at the beginning of the leave, shall remain in effect during the Short-Term Educational Leave and upon the Member’s return from the leave.

Education Leave Funding. (a) The Education Leave Plan will be funded by the District Board in the amount of $175,000 for the following school years 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08. (b) A member on Short-Term Education Leave shall receive full salary, and all compensation increases in accordance with the Collective Agreement in force during the term of the Leave. (c) The District Board and Member on a Short-Term Education Leave shall share the costs of the benefits provided in Article XIII (Benefit Plans) in the same ratios as they would were the Member not on Leave. (d) All Members on Education Leaves shall continue to accumulate sick leave credits. (e) During the leave, the District Board shall make the appropriate deductions for the Teacher’s Pension Plan.

Any balance in the fund at the end of the school year shall be carried forward to the fund for the next school year.

  • Education Leave If required by the Hospital, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications. Where employees are required by the Hospital to take courses to upgrade or acquire new employment qualifications, the Hospital shall pay the full costs associated with the courses. Subject to operational requirements, the Hospital will make every reasonable effort to grant requests for necessary changes to an employee's schedule to enable attendance at a recognized up-grading course or seminar related to employment with the Hospital."

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.

  • Employment Relations Education Leave Employment Relations Education Leave will be allowed in accordance with the Employment Relations Act.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Educational Benefits The Employer agrees to provide educational benefits to employees that are in permanent status as of the first day of the quarter they are registering in accordance with the Employer’s space-available tuition waiver policy and employee 50% operating fee tuition waiver policy, to include:

  • Recreation Leave Relationship with By-laws and other instruments The provisions of this clause set out all entitlements in relation to recreation leave, and replace all By-law entitlements relating to recreation leave.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.
