Reclassification to Effective Date Pay Upon Reclassification Higher pay grade Start of the pay period following receipt of the completed reclassification request form at the Human Resources Division. 1st Step of the pay range of the new classification or the step that is at least 5% above the former rate of pay, whichever is greater.
