Elementary Teachers Elementary teachers’ day shall be eight-ten a.m. to three forty p.m. (8:10 – 3:40), with a forty (40) minute lunch period. All elementary teachers shall be guaranteed a duty-free uninterrupted lunch period of at least forty (40) minutes. The only exception to this policy shall be when weather conditions are such that the elementary children cannot be sent out of doors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to supervise through the noon period. These assignments shall be on a rotating basis. Elementary teachers K-5 shall normally have a guaranteed break during recess periods. Exceptions to this policy shall be when weather/emergency situations are such that the elementary children cannot be sent outdoors. In these cases, the building principal will assign the necessary teachers and other personnel to properly supervise students during these periods on a rotating basis. It is understood and agreed classroom paraprofessionals may be removed by the Administration from their classroom assignment to implement this provision. If qualified paraprofessionals are not available and already in a building to implement this provision, a staff member representative may request a meeting with the principal and Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee to review the matter and discuss possible alternative solutions.

Team Leaders 4.3.1 Team Leaders will be paid on the teachers’ scale according to their qualifications and length of service and in addition will be paid management units for responsibility.
Elementary School At the request of the Superintendent, elementary school teachers that teach all the student contact time on a daily basis will be paid for an additional hour at an hourly rate based upon their contractual daily rate of pay for a maximum of 180 days. Teachers will not be required to spend additional time beyond their regular day. All scheduling options must have been exhausted before an administrator will receive permission for this variance. The appeal process for this variance is defined in the Staffing Plan.
Itinerant Teachers a) An itinerant Teacher is a Teacher who is assigned duties by the Employer in more than one school in a day.
Elementary a minimum of 250 minutes weekly for a full 5-day week (no less than a 30-minute block of time on each day)
Playground ~ The playground is primarily for the use of children under the age of twelve (12). Any child caught throwing rocks, vandalizing, or hitting or teasing other children will be asked to leave the playground. An adult or appropriate baby-sitter must accompany all children under the age of six (6) years old. Garbage ~ The storage, collection and disposal of refuse and garbage in the recreational camping areas shall be conducted as to create no health hazards, rodent harborage, insect breeding areas, accident or fire hazards, or air pollution. Bag all food garbage in plastic and tie shut before placing in the dumpster, to prevent odor and rodents which are drawn to the garbage area, such as skunks, raccoons etc. Dumpster is for normal daily household garbage, no large boxes, building supplies, carpets etc. Camper is to dispose of this type of garbage elsewhere. Garbage may be placed in dumpsters only. If a dumpster is full, do not place garbage on or around the dumpster, find an empty dumpster to place your garbage into. Bags of garbage may not be set outside your camper for any reason. Disposal or deposit of hazardous or toxic waste is prohibited. No gas, oil, batteries, or car fluids may be deposited into the dumpsters or around the dumpsters. Hazardous materials will not be disposed of by the garbage service. Disposal or deposit of furniture, barbeque grills, washer, dryers, and other large household items are NOT permitted on, in or around the dumpsters. Holding Tanks ~ There is no size restriction on holding tanks, however, they must be opaque XX xxxx/black water approved tanks. The on-site dump station may be used to empty tanks that hold 50 gallons or less. For tanks over 50 gallons Camper must contract with a pumping service to pump and remove tank contents from campground. No dumping of xxxx water onto the ground. Docks ~ Campground does NOT have a lifeguard on duty. The docks are privately owned. In order to be on someone's dock you must receive permission from the dock owner. An adult must accompany all children on the docks after dark. Life jackets are required for young children fishing off docks. Running, diving, and/or horseplay are not allowed on the docks. All debris and toys must be removed from the docks, beach and marina area. Inappropriate behavior, intoxication or shouting on docks is not allowed. Glass is not allowed on the beach area. Jet skies, wave runners, etc. are not permitted in the marina area. Tires cannot be left in the marina area under boats or tied onto docks. Fish House ~ Clean up fish cleaning facility when done with your fish cleaning and bag all fish remains. Fish cleaning house must be kept clean and all fish waste must be put into plastic bags and deposited into dumpster and cover on dumpster closed. No dumping of fish wastes into marina or dog waste stations! Swimming Pool ~ Campers are required to abide by all rules posted in and around the pool area.
Policy Development 2.2.1 LIDDA shall develop and implement policies to address the needs of the LSA in accordance with state and federal laws. The policies shall include consideration of public input, best value, and individual care issues.
Elementary Planning Time [a] All elementary schools will allow for teacher planning and collaboration time one (1) day each week, as approved by the Board, by shortening that day and proportionately lengthening the remaining days in the week. In the event that the early-out day falls on a holiday, no early-out planning time will be provided for that week. [b] The planning time is to be used for individual or group planning activities. Exceptions such as faculty meetings, training or other routine school activities shall be agreed upon by the JSSC. [c] The total time for students to be in the class shall meet the state requirements and the total teacher time shall meet contract obligations.
