Employee Review of Official Personnel File. Employees will be permitted to review their official personnel file pursuant to provisions of the Illinois Employee Access to Records Act, (820 ILCS 40/I et seq.) If authorized by the employee in writing, the Union may also review the official personnel file pursuant to relevant provisions of this Act. Such review may be made during working hours, with no loss of pay for the time spent, and the employee may be accompanied by a xxxxxxx or Union representative if he/she so wishes. Reasonable requests to copy documents in the files shall be honored. Employees (and the Union) will also be permitted to review their departmental personnel file(s) in accordance with the procedures set forth above.
