EMT Bonus. Each employee who holds a current EMT-1F.S. certificate or Los Angeles County Paramedic certification and has the job classification of Fire Captain, Fire Engineer, Firefighter, Assistant Fire Marshal or Senior Fire Inspector, or is temporarily assigned to the position of Fire Inspector, is eligible to receive a bonus equal to 6.75% of salary Step 5 of a Firefighter. This section does not apply to employees in the job classification of Fire Marshal or Battalion Chief. In order to maintain this benefit, the employee must maintain a current certification through the term of this Agreement.

EMT Bonus. (1) Upon completion of training and certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), an employee will be awarded a one-time bonus of two hundred dollars ($200.00).
EMT Bonus. An annual bonus shall be paid to those firefighters who are certified as an EMT so long as the City is engaged in providing EMT services. The determination of whether to provide EMT services shall be made at the sole discretion of the City. Bonuses of $350 shall be paid on or about July 1, 1997, $450 on or about July 1, 1998, and‌ $500 on or about July 1, 1999.
