Engineer Officer Xxxxxx and Trainees. (a) Engineer Officer Xxxxxx and Trainees will fall into one of two classifications: (i) An Engineer Xxxxxxx is defined as a person who has a trade qualification approved by AMSA to undertake an Engineer Officer Trainee course of study. (ii) An Engineer Cadet is defined as a new entrant to the marine industry, including school leaver. (b) Rates of pay will be as followed: Classification Commencement of the Agreement (i.e., 7 days after approval by the FWC) (8% included) At the start of the first full pay period, at the 12 month anniversary date from the operative date of the Agreement (6% included) At the start of the first full pay period, at the 24 month anniversary date from the operative date of the Agreement At the start of the first full pay period, at the 36 month anniversary date from the operative date of the Agreement Engineer Cadet – 1st / 2nd Year $39,855 $42,247 Between 2-4% (safety net/ceiling based on CPI). Engineer Cadet – 3rd / 4th Year $46,229 $49,003 Engineer Trainee – at Sea $1,496 per week $1,586 per week Engineer Trainee – at College $1,121 per week $1,188 per week (c) An Engineer Xxxxxxx’s at Sea wages apply during the period of qualifying sea service (at least 36 weeks) on the Employer’s Vessels; and 15 weeks of paid leave in respect of the qualifying sea service. Engineer Trainees will accrue 0.4 days leave for each day At Sea. (d) An Engineer Xxxxxxx’s at College wages apply during attendance (including exam/study periods) at college to complete the Engineer Watch-Keeper Certificate and pre-sea training, Advanced Firefighting, Survival, First Aid and other required short courses and payment of all short course fees/costs, all travel to attend the short courses and provisions of meals and accommodation at student-level lodgings agreed between the Trainee and the Employer. (e) Engineer Cadets will undertake a mutually approved cadetship which shall include all subjects for attainment once qualifying sea service is accumulated to obtain the Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency in accordance with MO72. Engineer Cadet wages will apply subject to satisfactory performance of all subjects.

  • Professional Development and Training The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION The undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project. The undersigned further certify that:

  • OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER CERTIFICATION Pursuant to Section 6(b) and 6(c) of the Agreement, the undersigned Chief Executive Officer and Chief Fiscal Officer of the Recipient, as both are designated in Appendix B of the Agreement, hereby request the Director to disburse financial assistance moneys made available to Project in Appendix C of the Agreement (inclusive of any amendment thereto) to the payee as identified below in the amount so indicated which amount equals the product of the Disbursement Ratio and the dollar value of the attached cost documentation which was properly billed to the Recipient in exclusive connection with the performance of the Project, or, in the case of a final disbursement request, the amount entered at Line V of this Appendix E. The undersigned further certify that:

  • STUDENTS AND TRAINEES Payments which a student, or an apprentice or business, technical, agricultural or forestry trainee, who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • Fares and Travel Allowance All Employees shall be entitled to receive the fares and travel allowance as follows:

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • President and Chief Executive Officer The president shall be the chief executive officer of the Trust, unless the Board of Trustees designates the chairman as chief executive officer. The chief executive officer shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Trustees are carried into effect. The chief executive officer shall also be the chief administrative officer of the Trust and shall perform such other duties and have such other powers as the Board of Trustees may from time to time prescribe.
