Evaluation conference procedure. 16.12.1 Prior to making an observation which is part of an assessment sequence, the responsible administrator shall conduct an individual pre-observation conference with the teacher involved. This conference shall focus on the elements upon which the evaluation is to be based. There may be discussion of circumstances affecting the teacher’s ability to be evaluated positively, such as, but not limited to: the educational capabilities of the learners, availability of support personnel, the appropriateness of the learning environment, and the job description of the teacher.

Evaluation conference procedure. 8.10.1 At the time in which the evaluation process begins, unit members will be given electronic copies of the Teacher Evaluation Guidelines and the full California Standards for the Teaching Profession. The responsible administrator shall also provide a copy of the Pre-Conference Self Evaluation Form to the employee, giving them least ten (10) working days to complete the form prior to conducting an individual pre- observation conference. This conference shall focus on the elements upon which the evaluation is to be based. The completed self-evaluation form will be discussed and used as a guide for the employee and evaluator during the classroom or workplace observation(s). There may be discussion of circumstances affecting the bargaining unit member’s ability to be evaluated positively, such as, but not limited to: the educational capabilities of the learners, availability of support personnel and/or necessary technology, the appropriateness of the learning or work environment, and the job description of the bargaining unit member.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • Informal Grievance Procedure It shall be the mutual responsibility of employees and management to endeavor to resolve grievances informally at the lowest practicable level of management. To this end, the grievant shall first present the grievance to the grievant's immediate supervisor in an informal meeting within ten (10) days after the occurrence of the circumstances giving rise to the grievance or when the grievant first actually knew, or could have reasonably known of them. The grievant may request the meeting be held at any reasonable time, and the supervisor shall meet with the grievant as soon as reasonably practicable after receipt of the request. In the meeting, the grievant and the supervisor shall review the grievance. The employee shall fully and fairly explain: the alleged action or inaction by the employee's department which caused grievance; the written departmental policy allegedly violated by the department; and the remedy the grievant believes will resolve the grievance. The parties shall cooperate in seeking a resolution of the grievance. If questions beyond the scope of the supervisor's authority or knowledge are involved, the supervisor may consult the supervisor's superiors or other County officers. The supervisor shall present an informal, oral decision with supporting reasons to the grievant within ten (10) days after the meeting.

  • Informal Procedure A complaint may be presented informally to the administrator whose decision or action is being contested.

  • Post-Observation Conference 1. The post-observation conference between the evaluator and teacher will be held no later than five (5) days after the formal observation.

  • Pre-Observation Conference The pre-observation conference shall be held prior to each formal observation. The teacher and evaluator will mutually agree when to conference. The purpose of the pre-observation conference is to discuss the employee’s goals, establish a date for the formal observation, and to discuss such matters as the professional activities to be observed, their content, objectives, strategies, and possible observable evidence to meet the scoring criteria.

  • Informal Conference Prior to the filing of a grievance, in an effort to resolve the issue(s), the grievant shall make reasonable attempts to initiate / discuss or an attempt to initiate / discuss the issue(s) informally with the grievant’s Principal or Supervisor.
