Exceptional Faculty Awards. As a result of funds generated by the College Foundation and matching grants from the state legislature, the College and the Foundation have established Exceptional Faculty Development Awards. These awards will be made from endowments and interest generated annually from these endowments. A schedule with specific deadlines and application/nomination forms will be published by the first Friday of fall quarter annually by the College. The annually appointed Faculty Awards Committee will meet quarterly to review proposals and make grant recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The Faculty Awards Committee will be comprised of 2 administrative designees appointed by the College and 4 tenured professors appointed by the Federation.

The awards granted are to enable recipients to pursue opportunities for individual professional development, promoting exceptional student outcomes and program enhancement at Xxxxxxx Community College. C. Full-time and Associate Faculty who have completed at least two FTE years of academic employment for the College may apply or be nominated individually or collectively. D. No new application will be accepted for award recipients in the three years following the receipt of the award.

Per RCW 28B.50.843, decisions regarding the amounts of individual awards and who receives them shall not be subject to collective bargaining and shall be subject to approval of the Board of Trustees. F. At no time shall the Exceptional Faculty Award Trust drop below the original investment amount. G. Any funds available but not awarded in a given year shall be reinvested into the Trust.

Consistent with WAC 131.16.450, Exceptional Faculty Awards may be used for faculty development activities, temporary substitute or replacement costs directly associated with faculty development programs, conferences, travel, publication and dissemination of exemplary projects; individual or faculty group projects outside of the scope of regular duties outlined in this contract; or to pay expenses associated with the holder's program area. Funds from this program shall not be used to supplant existing faculty development funds. An Exceptional Faculty Awards Committee will be established and consist of 4 tenured professors appointed by the Federation and 2 administrative designees appointed by the College. Each fall the Federation president will appoint a faculty co-chair who will work with the administrative co-chair to conduct meetings of the committee, implement award processes and report to the Board of Trustees. Each spring the committee will publish a schedule with specific deadlines for the following academic year. Application forms, consistent with the WAC and this agreement, will be developed by the College and approved by the Federation, and are included in Appendix D of this agreement. The Exceptional Faculty Awards Committee will meet quarterly to review proposals and make grant recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

  • Geographic Area and Sector Specific Allowances, Conditions and Exceptions The following allowances and conditions shall apply where relevant. Where the Employer does work which falls under the following headings, the Employer agrees to pay and observe the relevant respective conditions and/or exceptions set out below in each case.

  • Eligible Population 5.1 Program eligibility is determined by applicable law set forth in Program rules and the requirements established in the Program Policy Manual. 5.2 The unduplicated number of Clients for PHC services is 430.   • Use of Service Areas The service areas, as located within the Project, shall be ear- marked for purposes such as parking spaces and services including but not limited to electric sub-station, transformer, DG set rooms, underground water tanks, Pump rooms, maintenance and service rooms, firefighting pumps and equipment etc. and other permitted uses as per sanctioned plans. The Allottee shall not be permitted to use the services areas in any manner whatsoever, other than those earmarked as parking spaces and the same shall be reserved for use by the Association for rendering maintenance services.

  • Probation for Newly Hired Employees (a) The Employer may reject a probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Article 11.2

  • Requirements Pertaining Only to Federal Grants and Subrecipient Agreements If this Agreement is a grant that is funded in whole or in part by Federal funds:

  • PRIORITY HIRING CONSIDERATIONS If this Contract includes services in excess of $200,000, the Contractor shall give priority consideration in filling vacancies in positions funded by the Contract to qualified recipients of aid under Welfare and Institutions Code Section 11200 in accordance with Pub. Contract Code §10353.

  • EXCLUSIONS FROM THE BARGAINING UNIT The parties agree that the positions identified as excluded shall be excluded positions for the life of this agreement. Decisions related to additional excluded positions shall be by mutual agreement or shall be resolved by SERB.

  • Transfer and Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit (a) It is understood that an employee shall not be transferred by the Hospital to a position outside the bargaining unit without his consent except in the case of temporary assignments not exceeding six (6) months. Such employees on temporary assignments shall remain members of the bargaining unit. (b) An employee who is transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit shall not, subject to (c) below, accumulate seniority. In the event the employee is returned by the Hospital to a position in the bargaining unit within twenty-four (24) months of the transfer he or she shall be credited with the seniority held at the time of transfer and resume accumulation from the date of his or her return to the bargaining unit. An employee not returned to the bargaining unit within 24 months shall forfeit bargaining unit seniority. (c) In the event an employee transferred out of the bargaining unit under (b) above is returned to the bargaining unit within a period of six (6) calendar months, he shall accumulate seniority during the period of time outside the bargaining unit."

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Passports Pursuant to Texas Health and Safety Code, Section 161.0085(c), Contractor certifies that it does not require its customers to provide any documentation certifying the customer’s COVID-19 vaccination or post-transmission recovery on entry to, to gain access to, or to receive service from the Contractor’s business. Contractor acknowledges that such a vaccine or recovery requirement would make Contractor ineligible for a state-funded contract.
