External Employment. During the period of Employee’s employment with KEYW, Employee shall be prohibited from engaging in external employment without express permission from KEYW. By way of example, and not limitation, such external employment shall include self-employment, consulting, and engagement by firms conducting business unrelated to the business of KEYW.

External Employment. ‌ Faculty are encouraged to participate in other professional activities as a means of improving not only their own competence and prestige, but the prestige of the University as well. While engaging in these activities and/or in any external employment, either during or outside the appointment period, faculty members have the obligation to avoid ethical, legal, financial and other conflicts of interest to insure that their outside activities and interests do not conflict with their responsibilities to the University. Furthermore, any external employment will not involve or require more than incidental use of University equipment (excluding computer technology) supplies, materials, clerical services unless expressly authorized by the chair.

Such employment should not conflict with the duties and responsibilities of the assistantship and satisfactory progress toward degree completion. Graduate assistants may be required to disclose off-campus work commitments when bona fide concerns over conflicts of commitment, conflicts of interest, access to proprietary information, or access to sensitive information (including, but not limited to, national security information) are present.

If an employee does undertake employment, other than that of X’Xxxx Plumbing Pty Ltd, it must be on the following conditions: The employee’s work performance at X’Xxxx Plumbing Pty Ltd is not to be affected. If any doubt exists regarding the above points, the onus is on the employee to inform the Company in writing of the nature of the venture.
External Employment. Employees are free to obtain additional income through other employment or business venture provided that: (a) Work performance at ATP Environmental Pty Ltd is not affected. (b) No conflict of interest occurs in the employee’s role with ATP Environmental Pty Ltd. (c) The employer’s objectives are not disadvantaged. (d) The employer’s resources, including business contacts, materials & equipment are not used in the employee’s venture. (e) The employee does not use time for which he or she is paid by the employer in furthering his or her own external financial interests including, within reason, making telephone calls, using email or internet during work hours. If any doubt exists regarding the above points, the employee is required to inform the employer in writing of the nature of the venture.
