Other Professional Activities. Employee may undertake outside professional activities for remuneration, including consulting, speaking, teaching and writing provided that all such outside professional activities do not interfere with Employee’s ability to perform required duties under this Agreement and do not result in a conflict of interest under statutory or common law. Employee shall undertake outside professional activities only on non-work days such as vacation days, holidays, weekends, or other leave time as approved by the Superintendent/President.
Other Professional Activities. Subject to the Company’s written approval, Employee may perform certain other professional activities not related to his employment with the Company, but consistent with standard practice so long as those activities do not interfere with his obligations to the Company. The CEO will review for approval, at the Company’s sole discretion, these outside activities as requested by Employee. No such approval by the Company will be deemed or construed to modify this Agreement or the Employee Proprietary Information, Inventions, Non-Competition and Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Other Professional Activities a. Performing, or assisting in performing, necessary maintenance on courses and programs taught by the faculty member, to include: assisting in textbook selection; maintaining course and section syllabi; course coordination; and developing, revising, and implementing courses and programs;
b. Attending scheduled department, campus, and College meetings with exceptions to be approved by his/her immediate supervisor. The College may not require a faculty member to attend scheduled meetings outside a faculty member’s scheduled hours without providing the faculty member an opportunity to adjust his/her OPA schedule;
c. Performing assessments required for Institutional Effectiveness or regional or specialized accreditation;
d. Participating in College approved professional development programs or activities;
e. Participation on College committees, when appointed;
f. Participation in at least one graduation ceremony a year;
g. Other activities as defined in Section 9.01.C.3.
Other Professional Activities. In addition, instructional faculty shall keep office hours and shall participate in advising students, committee work, and in division and other activities as specified in Appendix C.

Other Professional Activities. 1. Arrangements for absence due to other professional activities must be made in advance with the Superintendent.
2. Prior to accepting a position as an officer and/or member of an executive board of a national, state or regional educational organization related to the teacher’s District responsibilities and/or the program of the District, the teacher will review with the Superintendent the position requirements as to necessary absence from District responsibilities during the term of office and seek approval for such absence. Absence as approved shall be with pay.
3. Prior to accepting appointment by the State Education Department to advisory committees and/or responsibilities necessitating absence from regular District responsibilities, with or without expenses or honoraria, the absence as approved shall be with pay.
Other Professional Activities. The Employee is not allowed to pursue any professional activity for his own personal benefit or on account of a third party, unless he has received the prior formal consent of DTL.
Other Professional Activities. The hourly rate of step 1 Bachelor’s salary shall be paid for the following activities. Only activities which have normally and customarily been compensated beyond the salary schedule will be eligible for extra pay. - Participation in Summer Workshops - Summer School, After School, and Saturday Teaching - Homebound Instruction
Other Professional Activities. The Superintendent may accept speaking, writing, lecturing or other engagements of a professional nature, as well as attend professional meetings as he sees fit, provided they do not derogate from his duties as Superintendent and are in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 268A.
