Family Medical Leave (with Full Pay. 14.6.1 A teacher may request in writing up to one (1) day leave with pay, consistent with the normal hours of work on that day, in each school year to attend to the medical concerns of members of the teacher’s family. Such request must be made to the Superintendent one week prior to the day of leave unless such leave is due to a medical emergency. In such cases the teacher shall submit a request in writing within one week of the day of leave. In all cases, the teacher must submit a medical certificate to the Superintendent or when a medical certificate is not attainable, the teacher must identify why the teacher’s attendance is deemed necessary.
