FIRM’s Insurance. The Contractor agrees to maintain the minimum insurance coverage and comply with each condition set forth below during the duration of this contract with the City. All parties to this contract hereby agree that the Contractor's coverage will be primary in the event of a loss, regardless of the application of any other insurance or self-insurance. Contractor must deliver to City a certificate(s) of insurance evidencing such policies are in full force and effect within 10 business days of notification of the City’s intent to award a Contract. No contract shall be effective until the required certificate(s) have been received and approved by the City. Failure to meet the insurance requirements and provide the required certificate(s) and any necessary endorsements within 10 business days may cause the contract to be rejected. The City reserves the right to review these requirements and to modify insurance coverage and their limits when deemed necessary and prudent.

Should the Contractor not own any automobiles and furnish satisfactory evidence of this, the business auto liability requirement shall be amended to allow the Contractor to agree to maintain only Hired & Non-Owned Auto Liability. FIRM’s Insurance. 9.1. The Firm shall not commence work under this Contract until all insurance required under this Section 9 has been obtained by the Firm and such insurance has been approved by the City. The Firm shall not allow any subcontractor to commence work on any subcontract until all insurance required of any such subcontractor has been so obtained and approved by the City. Insurance shall be provided by insurers that are satisfactory to the City, authorized to do business in the State of Connecticut, that have at least an "A-" Best's Rating, and are in an A.M. Best financial size category of VII or higher. The A.M. Best classifications are based on the most current A.M. Best Company ratings or an equivalent City approved rating system.

  • Insurance The Company and the Subsidiaries are insured by insurers of recognized financial responsibility against such losses and risks and in such amounts as are prudent and customary in the businesses in which the Company and the Subsidiaries are engaged, including, but not limited to, directors and officers insurance coverage. Neither the Company nor any Subsidiary has any reason to believe that it will not be able to renew its existing insurance coverage as and when such coverage expires or to obtain similar coverage from similar insurers as may be necessary to continue its business without a significant increase in cost.

  • Public Body Insurance If Grantee is a “public body” as defined in ORS 30.260, Grantee agrees to insure any obligations that may arise for Grantee under this Grant, including any indemnity obligations, through (i) the purchase of insurance as indicated in Exhibit C or (ii) the use of self- insurance or assessments paid under ORS 30.282 that is substantially similar to the types and amounts of insurance coverage indicated on Exhibit C, or (iii) a combination of any or all of the foregoing.

  • Contractor’s Insurance 27.1 The Contractor shall procure and maintain at all times it performs any portion of the Services the following insurance with minimum limits equal to the amount indicated below.

  • Trauma Insurance All employees will be covered by an Incolink administered lump sum insurance policy providing financial compensation in the event of a major work related (ie. WorkCover) accident resulting in death or permanent total disablement. The full and precise conditions of this cover will be in accordance with the terms of the policy, but in general will provide that, in the event of a workplace accident occurring which results in either the death or total permanent disablement of a worker covered by this Agreement, a lump sum payment as specified below will made. The defined payments are: With dependants $250,000 Without dependants $150,000 This benefit has been agreed to by the company on the grounds that premium costs have been set at $7 per week/worker and will not exceed that amount. In the event of insurance costs rising, it is agreed that the table of defined benefits will be reduced so as to maintain the $7 premium figure. To maintain this cover the company agrees to pay the amounts every week for each employee.
