Floating Work Schedules. Floating work schedules may be used by the University in the Custodial Supervisors and Leads, Maintenance Custodians, Dining Services, Stage Manager, Recreation and Athletic Specialists and Transportation Services departments and for other positions as deemed appropriate by the Union and the University. Vacant positions may also be assigned a floating schedule. Employees working floating work schedules will have assigned daily hours that may vary during a workweek to meet operational needs. Floating work schedules will include at least two (2) consecutive days off in a seven (7) day period; days off will generally be the same from workweek to workweek. Any split shifts required of employees working a floating work schedule will include no more than two segments in a day.

Floating Work Schedules. Floating work schedules may be used by the University for the following positions/classifications/departments: • Custodial Leads and Supervisors • Maintenance Custodians • Dining Services EmployeesStage Manager • Recreation and Athletic Specialists • Trucking Services Employees • Others as deemed appropriate by the Union and University Additional positions, classifications or departments may be identified by the parties for use of floating work schedules during the term of this Agreement upon mutual consent. Vacant positions may also be assigned a floating schedule by the University. The University will determine the need for floating work schedules and will assign positions floating work schedules according to need. Additionally, the University retains the right to reassign employees operating on a floating work schedule to a regular work schedule, as defined in Article 20.2.1. Employees working floating work schedules will have assigned daily hours that may vary or be subject to change during a work week, as determined by the employee’s supervisor, to meet operational needs.   • Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the work schedules meet federal and state laws.

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.

  • Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.
