Base Wages Increases. 19.1.1 Effective July 1, 2023, all Salary Ranges described in this Agreement will be increased by three (3%) percent. This increase will be based upon the salary schedule in effect on June 30, 2023. *See 19.1.2 – WFSE Units 1 & 2 employees will receive a 4% increase on July 1, 2023 Effective July 1, 2024, all Salary Ranges described in this Agreement will be increased by three (3%) percent. This increase will be based upon the salary schedule in effect on June 30, 2024. *See 19.1.2 – WFSE Units 1 & 2 employees will receive a 3% increase on July 1, 2024 19.1.2 For the term of this Agreement (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2025) only, should the Washington State Legislature approve a salary increase or COLA for General State Government employees greater than the 3% yearly salary adjustments described in Article 19.1.1 above, the University agrees to pass through, at the rate of 100%, the difference between the agreed upon salary adjustments in Article 19.1.1, and the amount approved by the legislature. For example, should the legislature approve a 3.5% salary increase/COLA for General State Government employees effective July 1, 2023, the University will pass through the additional 0.5% to all employees subject to this Agreement, to equal 3.5%. Any increase will be applied no later than the date the legislature indicates the increases take effect.

Any agreement resulting from such bargaining will remain subject to a finding by the Director of OFM that the agreement is economically feasible, and approval by the Legislature as provided in RCW 41.80. Nothing in this paragraph obligates either party to agree to any proposal.
