Funeral Leave. A. In the case of death of the mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, stepchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, or in the case of death of any other relative residing in the immediate household of a regular employee, the employee shall be allowed four (4) days funeral leave with regular pay without deduction from his pay or accumulated sick leave to attend the funeral or memorial service. B. In the case of death of a sister in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, aunt, uncle, nephew, or niece of a regular employee, the regular employee shall be allowed one (1) day funeral leave with regular pay without deduction from his pay or accumulated sick leave to attend the funeral or memorial service. C. In addition, a regular employee may be allowed to use up to four (4) working days of his accumulated sick leave in the case of death of any of the above designated persons for the days before or following the funeral to attend the funeral or memorial service, and for travel to and from the funeral or memorial service. For purposes of this Section, the term "day" shall be as defined in Section 1.
