Gun Allowance. The Department shall provide each officer with a one hundred dollar ($100.00) gun allowance each contract year, to be given in the first payroll check during the month of December to each officer on the payroll during the period covered by such payroll check.
Gun Allowance. Road Patrol Deputies and Detectives may carry a handgun during their off-duty hours as determined by the SHERIFF and for this consideration will be paid One Hundred and No/100 ($100.00) Dollars per year off-duty gun allowance, whether they are authorized to carry the weapon or not. This allowance is to be paid on December 1 of each year and as of December 31 of that year. In the event an employee has been terminated prior to or has less than twelve (12) months' service as of December 31 of that year, the allowance will be prorated.
Gun Allowance. A gun allowance of $250.00 per year shall be given every officer in the bargaining unit.

Gun Allowance. Members of the unit will be required to carry a handgun approved by the Sheriff during his/her off-duty hours. In consideration of this requirement, each unit member shall be paid the annual sum of One Hundred and No/100 ($100 .0.0)
Gun Allowance. Employees covered by this agreement shall receive a four hundred ($400.00) dollar Gun Allowance annually beginning December 1, 2005 retroactively and to be paid annually during the first pay period in December thereafter. This provision shall be paid in 26 equal installments in the employees bi- weekly pay check; i.e. $400 / 26 pays = $15.38 per pay.
Gun Allowance. The Deputy Chief will receive an allowance of four percent (4%) of his base pay for carrying his service revolver or other Departmental authorized weapon while not on active duty, to be paid by October 15th of each year.
Gun Allowance. 13. 1 A gun allowance of Three Hundred Fifty ($350.00) Dollars shall be paid before December 16th of each year.
Gun Allowance. Bargaining unit members will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $350.00 for the purchase of a hand gun effective after January 1, 1996. The reimbursement is one time only during the employee's employment with the department. The gun must be approved by the Sheriff prior to purchase and employees must receive proper training regarding the use of the weapon. MISCELLANEOUS
Gun Allowance. SECTION 1. Every employee within the bargaining unit shall receive the sum of Three Hundred Sixty-five Dollars ($365.00) per year for the carrying of a weapon while off duty as a gun allowance. This compensation shall be for repair and upkeep of the officer's personal hand weapon and practice ammunition. Effective July 1, 2000, the gun allowance will no longer be recognized as a gun allowance paid to the employees as it will be eliminated, rolled into the base wage and thereafter included in the regular compensation.
