History of Relationship. Whereas, Xxxx County, including the Sheriff’s Office, has worked diligently to address the issues of domestic violence for over twenty (20) years; and Whereas, the Xxxx County Sheriff’s Office and Casa de Misericordia have worked in close collaboration since 2005;
History of Relationship. Since 1991, UAS has offered the MPA program to students in the Yukon Territory. The program has been taught by resident UAS faculty and the students from Yukon who enter are held to the same standards as residential Alaskan students (this is facilitated by the Sister City agreement stipulated in the University of Alaska, Board of Regents policy; POS.10.050 (I)). The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) accepted a change in accreditation to permit the University of Alaska to offer this program From 2004 to the current academic year the UAS MPA program has delivered seamless transmission of the program to Yukon students no matter where they choose to access the classes from, using the internet-based distance learning technologies. This successful endeavor has been greatly facilitated by the administrative support provided by YC.

History of Relationship. Empowering women in remote villages is an important aspect of AAIWT & KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government) – Pakistan. Over the years, AAIWT & KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government) – Pakistan, have provided support to establish numerous women’s vocational centres that provide skills training, equipment, and materials. Women can be independently earning income from the sale of handicrafts and clothing to help support their families, which stimulates the local economy and empowers women in a society where their opportunities are limited. AAIWT & KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government) – Pakistan, would find that, in addition to building basic skills and literacy, the centres become important places for women to come together in their communities, share concerns, and solve problems. AAIWT & KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government) – Pakistan, has also provided funds to set up and support literacy centres that offer free daily lessons in basic literacy, hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition. Often a “centre” is located in women’s private homes in Pakistan, where women can gather and learn to read and write. AAIWT & KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government) – Pakistan, have paid teacher and provided the funds for textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and erasers in numerous areas of KPK Pakistan.
History of Relationship. Since 1989, representatives from the City of Xxxxxx, Xxxxxx County, SAFE and TRLA have participated in the ATCFVTF. The mission of ATCFVTF is to reduce and prevent family violence and promote safety through a coordinated community response. The collaborative meets monthly and produces events for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October of every year. In 2012, a member of the Family Violence Protection Team, a previous collaborative connected to the ATCFVTF that was funded by the “Grant to Encourage Arrest Policies" through the US Department of Justice, Violence Against Women Grants Office, suggested exploring ways to keep firearms away from abusers. In response, ATCFVTF hosted a training through the TCSO with the National Center on Protection Orders and Full Faith and Credit as a guest speaker to educate 40 to 50 stakeholders on state and federal firearm prohibition. Participants agreed to create a workgroup to draft a model protocol for surrender and forfeiture. The workgroup began meeting in April 2013 on a bi-monthly basis. The team was able to make some progress by securing a private storage partner and developing a protocol based on best practices on civil matters only. The workgroup identified criminal protocols as their next assignment. Following the initial efforts of the workgroup, progress stalled due to shifting priorities. However, several of the individuals involved in the workgroup remained committed to the project. When the Austin City Council created the Gun Violence Task Force (GVTF) in 2019, firearm surrender protocol was researched as a potential recommendation for policy implementation. Instead, the GVTF more broadly recommended creating an Office of Violence Prevention to lead public health approaches to “coordinate city-wide gun violence prevention and intervention services.” The GVTF report, released in 2020, coincided with a broader effort to reimagine public safety, which led to the creation of the Reimagining Public Safety Task Force that further recommended investments in the community that prevent violence from happening in the first place.   • Termination of Relationship If Optionee terminates Continuous Status as an Employee or Consultant for any reason, Optionee may exercise this Option during the Termination Period set out in the Notice of Grant, to the extent the Option was vested at the date of such termination. To the extent that Optionee was not vested in this Option at the date on which Optionee terminates Continuous Status as an Employee or Consultant, or if Optionee does not exercise this Option within the time specified herein, the Option shall terminate.

  • Commercial Relationship The Employee expressly acknowledges that the Employee’s participation in the Program and the Company’s grant of the Award does not constitute an employment relationship between the Employee and the Company. The Employee has been granted the Award as a consequence of the commercial relationship between the Company and the Company’s Subsidiary in Mexico that employs the Employee, and the Company’s Subsidiary in Mexico is the Employee’s sole employer. Based on the foregoing: (a) the Employee expressly acknowledges that the Program and the benefits derived from participation in the Program do not establish any rights between the Employee and the Subsidiary in Mexico that employs the Employee; (b) the Program and the benefits derived from participation in the Program are not part of the employment conditions and/or benefits provided by the Subsidiary in Mexico that employs the Employee; and (c) any modifications or amendments of the Program or benefits granted thereunder by the Company, or a termination of the Program by the Company, shall not constitute a change or impairment of the terms and conditions of the Employee’s employment with the Subsidiary in Mexico.

  • At-Will Relationship I understand and acknowledge that my Relationship with the Company is and shall continue to be at-will, as defined under applicable law, meaning that either I or the Company may terminate the Relationship at any time for any reason or no reason, without further obligation or liability.

  • Nature of Relationship The parties agree the relationship created by this Agreement is that of independent contractor. In performing all of the Services, Provider shall be, and at all times is, acting and performing as an independent contractor with District, and not as a partner, coventurer, agent, or employee of District, and nothing contained herein shall be construed to be inconsistent with this relationship or status. Provider is not granted any right or authority to assume or to create any obligation or responsibility, express or implied, on behalf of or in the name of District or to bind the District in any manner. Except for any materials, procedures, or subject matter agreed upon between Provider and District, Provider shall have complete control over the manner and method of performing the Services. Provider understands and agrees to independent contractor status. Provider understands and agrees that the filing and acceptance of this Agreement creates a rebuttable presumption and that the Provider, officers, agents, employees, or subcontractors of Provider are not entitled to coverage under the California Workers’ Compensation Insurance laws, Unemployment Insurance, Health Insurance, Pension Plans, or any other benefits normally offered or conveyed to District employees. Provider will be responsible for payment of all Provider employee wages, payroll taxes, employee benefits, and any amounts due for federal and state income taxes and Social Security taxes. These taxes will not be withheld from payments under this agreement.

  • INDEPENDENT RELATIONSHIP This Agreement is not intended to constitute, create, give effect to or otherwise recognize a joint venture, partnership, or formal business organization, or agency agreement of any kind, and the rights and obligations of the Parties shall be only those expressly set forth herein.

  • Business Relationship The relationship between a landlord and tenant is a business relationship. A courteous and businesslike attitude is required from both parties. We reserve the right to refuse rental to anyone who is verbally abusive, swears, is disrespectful, makes threats, is under the influence, is argumentative, or in general displays an attitude at the time of the unit showing and application process that causes management to believe we would not have a positive business relationship.

  • Parties’ Relationship The parties to the Agreement are independent parties. BNY Mellon, in furnishing the Services, is acting as an independent contractor. BNY Mellon has the sole right and obligation to supervise, manage, contract, direct, procure, perform or cause to be performed, all work to be performed by BNY Mellon and its employees, agents, independent contractors and other representatives under the Agreement. At no time shall any such individuals represent himself or herself as an employee of a Fund or be considered an employee of a Fund. BNY Mellon is not a joint venturer with, nor an employee, agent or partner of the Funds and has no authority to represent or bind the Funds as to any matters.

  • Termination of Business Relationship If the Optionee's Business Relationship with the Company and all Related Corporations is terminated, other than by reason of death, disability or dissolution as defined in Section 5, no further installments of this option shall become exercisable, and this option shall terminate (and may no longer be exercised) after the passage of 90 days from the date the Business Relationship ceases, but in no event later than the scheduled expiration date. In such a case, the Optionee's only rights hereunder shall be those which are properly exercised before the termination of this option.

  • Reporting Relationship Executive shall report to the Company’s chief executive officer.

  • Relationship The relationship of the parties to this Agreement is determined solely by the provisions of this Agreement. The parties do not intend to create any agency, partnership, joint venture, trust, fiduciary or other relationship with duties or incidents different from those of parties to an arm’s-length contract.
