Holiday on Scheduled Workday. ‌ Full-time employees required to work the above holidays will be paid one and one-half (1½) times their normal rate of pay, plus their regular eight (8) hours of pay for the holiday.

Holiday on Scheduled Workday. Employees who are required to work on their observed holiday shall be granted, at the employee's option, either a workday of leave or shall be paid for the time worked in accordance with the rules governing over- time. Holiday time must be taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the holiday or the day designated by the City as a holiday. If time is not taken within the 90 calendar day period it will be paid to the employee.

  • Vacation Schedule 1. Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations.   • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions of Section III.E.2. 111. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours. (b) For Shiftworkers, double time and a half (inclusive of their shift loading) must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Scheduled Overtime Scheduled overtime is overtime which is assigned by the end of the employee's last worked shift prior to the overtime assignment and which does not immediately precede or immediately follow a scheduled work shift. Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.
