Holiday Rules. The following rules apply to all holidays except the personal holiday: A. When a holiday falls on the employee's scheduled workday, that day will be considered the holiday. Employees will be paid based on the number of scheduled hours for the shift on the day of the holiday at a straight-time rate even though they do not work. B. In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be paid for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate. C. Permanent and probationary employees working twelve (12) month schedules or cyclic year employees who work full monthly schedules throughout their work year will receive holiday pay if they were in pay status on the workday preceding the holiday. D. Cyclic year employees scheduled to work less than full monthly schedules throughout their work year qualify for holiday compensation if they work or are in pay status during the holiday month and on the workday on their last regularly scheduled working day preceding the holiday. Cyclic year employees will be entitled to the number of paid hours on a holiday in an amount proportionate to the time in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment. E. Nothing precludes the Employer, with prior notice, from switching an employee from an alternate work schedule to a regular work schedule during the week of a holiday.

Nothing precludes the Employer, with prior notice, from switching an employee from an alternate work schedule to a regular work schedule during the week of a holiday. When a holiday falls on the employee's scheduled workday, that day will be considered the holiday.

For operational convenience or necessity, the Employer, with prior notice, from switching an employee may switch groups of employees from an alternate work schedule to a regular work schedule during the week of a holiday. G. When a holiday falls on the employee’s scheduled workday, that day will be considered the holiday.
