HOLIDAY WORK WEEK. A. In weeks in which an entire day is celebrated as a holiday, the work week shall be four (4) days of eight (8) hours each, or a total of thirty-two (32) hours. Those employees who are working under the four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedules shall be scheduled to work three (3) ten (10) hour days. B. During the week in which Christmas Eve occurs, the work week shall be twenty-nine (29) hours (twenty- seven (27) for the four (4) day, ten (10) hour scheduled employees) provided, however, that in the event Christmas Eve occurs in one work week and Christmas Day in the next work week, the first work week shall be thirty-seven (37) hours and the second work week thirty- two (32) hours (thirty (30) hours for the four (4) day, ten (10) hour scheduled employees). C. When Christmas Eve falls on Sunday, the preceding work week shall be forty (40) hours and the following work week will be thirty-two (32) hours (thirty (30) hours for the four (4) day, ten (10) hour scheduled employees).

HOLIDAY WORK WEEK. Hours and Wages (a) In a week which includes any of these holidays, the work week is to be composed of four (4) days consisting of thirty-two (32) hours of work and eight (8) hours of holiday time for which full-time employees will receive a full week's pay. (b) All work performed by full-time employees in a holi­ day week on days other than the holiday and Sunday, and which is in excess of thirty-two (32) hours, shall be paid for at the overtime rate. (c) No work shall be performed on any of the above named holidays, except during an emergency and in such case, double time, exclusive of the regular weekly wages shall be \ (d) In a week in which any of the above named holidays falls on Sunday, such holiday shall be observed on Monday, and if any work is performed on the said Monday, the holiday provision shall apply.
HOLIDAY WORK WEEK. Thirty-two (32) hours, consisting of four (4) eight (8) hour days, exclusive of the holiday, shall constitute a week’s work in any week in which the holiday falls.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours. (b) For Shiftworkers, double time and a half (inclusive of their shift loading) must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day
