HOME HELP. The homecare assistance in Italy is managed at a local level. The Ministry of Work and Social Policy develops the national legislation, national minimum standards and the criteria for using the National Fund for Social Polices. Regions are responsible for planning and implementing home help services through the municipalities, monitor the implementation and the integration among the planned interventions (social and health services) and define the criteria for the authorisation, accreditation and monitoring of residential structures. A municipality define the local rules regarding the provision of home help, contract home help agencies, set prices and reimburses home help agencies (or grants voucher directly to the clients). Some regions (e.g. Lombardy) opted for other funding mechanisms and issued vouchers for entitled individuals, that can only be used for purchasing of specific services provided by providers authorized (accredited) by the public authority. Additionally, care allowances (by Municipalities or more rarely by Local Health Authorities) are used to pay family members for informal care. The client is free to spend the allowance as desired [Xxxxxx & Xxxxxxxx, 2009].
HOME HELP. We organise for a home help to be available for household work, in your Residence, either on your return from hospital, or starting from the date of your Admission to hospital, or while you are immobilised in your Residence. We will pay the cost of the home help for up to 10 hours, split up at your convenience during the month following the date of your Admission to hospital or of your return to your Residence or during your immobilisation in your Residence (minimum 2 hours at a time). If you fail to send us documentary proof (admission documents from the hospital, medical certificate), we reserve the right to invoice you for the full covered costs.
HOME HELP. At the request of the beneficiary, AXA Assistance shall find and take responsibility for the services of a home helper at the domicile either during the period of hospitalisation or immobilisation of more than 24 hours, or upon his/her return to the domicile. It shall also take responsibility for the performance of daily tasks. AXA Assistance shall take responsibility for a maximum of 30 hours during the 15 days following the date of the event, with a minimum of 2 consecutive hours. The beneficiary must make his/her request within 8 days following the date of the event. The medical team of the assistance service is solely authorised to set the duration of presence of the home helper after a medical assessment. This guarantee is limited to one intervention per calendar year. Beyond that one intervention per calendar year, AXA Assistance can communicate the coordinates of qualified personnel to the beneficiary. The cost of the qualified personnel remains the responsibility of the beneficiary.
HOME HELP. It is a service provided by a professional who, under the supervision of a home health or social service agency, or independently as a free-xxxxx, assists an older, ill or disabled person with household chores and provides support to several daily living needs, such as the preparation of meals. Home health care is the health care that takes place at home. The term home health care and homecare are often interchangeable; however, home health care refers to medical-related homecare while homecare encompasses all medical and non-medical homecare services [9]. Home health care consists of a wide range of services and supplies that a person receives at home according to a plan of care established usually by a doctor. Home Health Care can include skilled nursing and home health aid services, physical therapy, continued occupational therapy, speech-language pathology services, medical social services, durable medical equipment (such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen, and walkers), medical supplies, and other services provided at the individual’s home.
