Hours, Lunch and Rest Period. The normal work day for full time employees shall consist of eight (8) hours excluding a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period. A daily fifteen (15) minute first half and a fifteen (15) minute second half uninterrupted rest period shall be provided.

Hours, Lunch and Rest Period. Employees who work four (4) consecutive hours shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break within those four (4) hours. This rest period must be allowed no later than the end of the third hour of the shift. If more than 5 hours are worked in a day, workers must be allowed at least a 30 minute meal period. Workers must be at least two hours into the shift before the meal time can start and the meal time cannot start more than five hours after the beginning of the shift. Furthermore, if an employee is required to be on-call during their meal period, or they are called back during their meal period, they shall be paid during their meal periods.An employee shall receive two (2), fifteen (15) minute breaks if their shift is a full 8 hours.
Hours, Lunch and Rest Period. Each shift of five (5) or more hours per day shall include a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period where the employee is free to leave the work site. Such work day shall also include a paid fifteen (15) minute rest period during the first half of the day and a paid fifteen (15) minute rest period during the second half of the day. Such rest period is to occur as near the middle of each half shift as is practical. When difficulties arise in scheduling a regular fifteen (15) minute rest period, the employee and immediate supervisor may elect to xxxxxx said paid rest period to the thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch break, creating a forty-five (45) minute lunch period. The final decision in this matter rests with the immediate supervisor.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Meal and Rest Periods For assignments where the employee is unable to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., live-in, shift or respite) the meal period shall be paid as time worked. For assignments where the employee is able to leave for a thirty (30) minute meal period (i.e., hourly), the meal period shall be unpaid. Except for emergencies, employees will be completely relieved from duty during the unpaid meal period. Fifteen (15) minute paid rest periods will be provided approximately midway through each four (4) hour segment of each shift.   • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour.

  • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Lunch and Rest Breaks (a) Normally, a non-paid lunch break of either one half (½) hour or one (1) hours duration will be taken halfway through each shift. However, if job conditions require, the lunch break may be moved up to one (1) hour in either direction.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime.

  • HOURS OF WORK (Continued) 3.02 The normal hours of work shall be eight (8) or ten (10) hours daily, Monday through Thursday or Friday, maximum forty (40) hours in a week. Where the Employer cannot start or continue work due to inclement weather, the Employer may request the Employee(s) work on the Friday or Saturday, as appropriate, at the regular hourly rate of pay to conclude a normal work week of forty (40) hours and notify the Union of same. No discriminatory action will be taken against those Employees refusing the work.
