HOURS OF WORK, PREMIUMS AND COMPENSATION. Section 1. Hours of Work This Article establishes the County standard for hours of work. Biweekly compensation prescribed in the Appendix is based on a full-time schedule of eighty (80) working hours in each biweekly pay period. Paid time is standard duty hours worked plus any paid leave. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per day, per pay period, or for any other period of time. Work Periods

  • Compensation for Holidays Worked Employees who are required to work on a holiday, shall be compensated at time- and-one-half times the employee's base hourly rate for each hour worked on the holiday up to a maximum of eight and one-half (8½) hours or one-tenth (1/10th) the number of regularly scheduled hours in the employee's standard work period, whichever is less. Time worked in excess of eight and one-half (8½) hours on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with Article 5, Section 2, Overtime.
