Infection Control Committee. The Union will be entitled to elect or appoint one representative to sit and participate on the Infection Control Committee, a committee that is separate from the Joint Health and Safety Committee. The Union representative will be paid their straight time hourly rate of pay for all scheduled hours of work lost due to attendance at such meeting.

Infection Control Committee. Chaired by: The Infectious Disease Specialist, selected by the Chief Executive Officer of the Clinic. Members: The Human Resources Occupational Health Nurse, who functions as the Committee’s secretary, the Safety Manager, at least one Director of Clinical Services and other representatives from several clinical departments, as selected by the Chairperson. Purpose: The Infection Control Committee, which originated in July of 1989, addresses the prevention and control of infectious disease in the Clinic’s work environment. The committee meets quarterly for the purpose of addressing OSHA mandated requirements for infection control, such as the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, as well as infection prevention guidelines from other professional and governmental bodies, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.)

  • EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 33.01 (a) An Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established within three (3) months of the signing of the Collective Agreement. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads.
