Involuntary Deductions. In the event that an employee fails to voluntarily sign a check-off authorization, or if an employee who has previously signed an authorization objects to a specific deduction or assessment, the Employer shall make an involuntary deduction from the wages of the employee in the amount previously certified to the employer by the Treasurer of the Union and forward such sums to the Union by the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following the month in which such deductions are made.

Involuntary Deductions. The University shall withhold, as required by law, State and Federal Taxes and Employee Social Security Contributions from all compensation paid to the Employee by the University.
Involuntary Deductions. If any employee fails to authorize one of the above deductions within the thirty (30) day period, the Union may request that the District involuntarily deduct the agency fee from the employee’s paychecks. Prior to making a request for the District to involuntarily deduct the agency fee from any unit member's pay, the Union shall notify the unit member of the request. If the unit member and the Union are unable to reach agreement on the manner of payment, the Union shall certify to the District in writing that the worker whose pay is to be affected by the deduction has: (1) refused to join the Union; and (2) has refused to tender the amount of the service fee as defined herein; and (3) does not qualify for an exemption under (B) herein. The District and the Union agree that such written certification is a condition precedent to the District's obligation to begin a payroll deduction.
Involuntary Deductions. In the event a unit member is delinquent in making direct payments, the Association shall so notify the employee by certified mail and the District in writing and request that the District initiate involuntary deductions. For unit members who have not executed voluntary written authorizations and are delinquent in paying service fees the District shall deduct from the salary warrant the amount of the service fees to be paid to the Association.

  • Voluntary Deductions A. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a DRIVE and/or a Teamsters Legal Defense Fund deduction as provided for in a written authorization. An employee may vacate from his current classification once per year given there is an opening and the employee is qualified to perform in the lower classification to which the employee has requested a demotion. The Department will assign voluntarily demoted employees beginning with the next employee pay cycle. Employees will have thirty (30) days to certify for position openings. No employee shall be displaced from the Department through a voluntary demotion. Employees who voluntarily demote to a lower classification will be placed in the new payline for the lower classification based on their years of service in the lower classification. Employees that voluntarily demote to the classification of Firefighter will receive credit for total time spent in the Department when being placed on that payline.

  • Voluntary Demotion An employee requesting a voluntary demotion from a higher-rated position and who is subsequently demoted to the lower-rated position, shall be paid on the increment step appropriate to the employee’s continuous service with the Employer. A voluntary demotion shall not change an employee’s anniversary date.

  • Salary Deductions Salaried employees (E-level classifications) who are permanently assigned to full-time job classifications are paid on a bi-weekly salary basis. Salaried employees are paid a bi-weekly salary based on a minimum of two (2) forty (40) hour workweeks. The bi-weekly salary received by salaried employees will not be reduced regardless of the number of hours the salaried employee actually works in any week in which the salaried employee performs any work except for the following deductions:

  • Voluntary Demotion or Voluntary Reduction in Hours An employee has a right to his regularly assigned time, and shall not have it involuntarily reduced. Employees who take voluntary demotions or voluntary reductions in assigned time in lieu of layoff shall be, at the employee’s option, returned to a position in their former class or to present former positions with increased assigned time as vacancies become available, for a period of five (5) years and three (3) months, except that they shall be ranked in accordance with their seniority on any valid reemployment list.

  • Dues Deduction 6.2.1 The District shall deduct, in accordance with the CSEA dues and service fee schedule approved by the CSEA delegates, dues from the wages of all employees who are members of CSEA on the date of the execution of this Agreement, and who have submitted dues authorization forms to the District.

  • Dues Deductions 47. Dues deductions, once initiated, shall continue until the authorization is revoked in writing by the employee. For the administrative convenience of the SFMTA and the Association, an employee may only revoke a dues authorization by delivering the notice of revocation to the Controller during the two week period prior to the expiration of this Agreement. The revocation notice shall be delivered to the Controller either in person at the Controller's office or by depositing it in the U.S. Mail addressed to the Payroll/Personnel Services Division, Office of the Controller, Xxx Xxxxx Xxx Xxxx Xxxxxx, 8th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103; Attention: Dues Deduction. The SFMTA shall deliver a copy of the notices of revocation of dues deductions authorizations to the Association within two (2) weeks of receipt.

  • Union Dues Deduction The Company will deduct union dues from new employees who have worked a minimum of forty (40) hours.
