JOB VACANCIES. The Board will endeavour to place the successful candidate in the employee's same classificationposition within twenty-five (25) working days from the date of notification to the successful candidate. (c) The Board agrees that during the posting procedure, no outside advertisement shall be bulletined made. Upon completion of the internal posting procedure each applicant shall be advised in writing of the results.
(d) If a part time position becomes a full time position on a temporary basis for a minimum period of less than six (6) months, then the remainder of the position will be offered to the present incumbent. If the incumbent declines the full time position, the remainder of the position will be filled by the Board. If a part time position becomes a full time position on a temporary basis for a period of more than six (6) months, then the full time position will be posted in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
(a) If an employee is successful in their application for a lateral transfer, the appointment will be considered temporary for a period of five (5) calendar working days. Up to and including the fifth working day, and notice should the employee wish to return to their former position, it shall be without loss of seniority or wages.

(d) Any other employee affected by the rearrangement of positions, shall also be returned to their former position without loss of seniority and prior wages or salary.
9.03 In no case shall a temporary employee exercise seniority against a regular employee. If a vacancy for a regular position is not filled with by a qualified employee from that classification then qualified applicants from other classifications within regular employee, temporary employees, who applied for the bargaining unit will vacancy, shall be considered based on bargaining unit seniorityprior to hiring a new employee.

JOB VACANCIES. Vacancies (a) Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new positions position within the bargaining unit is established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be awarded posted for a period of seven (7) consecutive calendar days. JOB VACANCIES. Vacancies or Section 5.1 This Article applies to new positions and open positions that are within the jurisdiction of this collective bargaining agreement. Notices of open positions shall be awarded dated and shall be distributed to each work area and posted on employee bulletin boards within two (2) working days from the date of the notice. In filling such vacancies preference shall be given to part-time nurses in the bargaining unit on the basis of seniority who are qualified to perform the work in question. It is understood however, that where such vacancies occur on short notice, failure to offer part-time nurses such work shall not result in any claim for pay for time not worked while proper arrangements are made to fill the vacancy. Where part-time nurses fill temporary full-time vacancies, such nurses shall be considered part-time. JOB VACANCIES. 13.04 Employees shall be selected for job postings on the basis of their skill, ability, experience and qualifications. Where these factors are relatively equal amongst the employees considered, seniority shall govern providing the successful applicant, if any, is qualified to perform the available work within an appropriate familiarization period.
13.05 Where seniority governs, the most senior applicant within the department shall be selected. In the event, that there are no candidates from the department apply, then seniority from within the classification shall apply.

(d) A full-time employee who received layoff notice and, as a result, accepted a part-time position is entitled to be placed by seniority in the first full-time vacant position for which he/she is qualified. This entitlement shall be available to the employee for the equivalent time periods specified in Article 12, Section 6 (a). Such an employee who declines the first full-time position offered for which he/she is qualified, forfeits any future preferential entitlement to placement in a full-time position.
(e) With the exception of the above paragraph, each vacancy shall be posted electronically for at least three (3) working days, outlining job title, group classification and salary range and branch location. “Floaters” may be hired as Money Advisors (Group II) to train as new employees, to provide coverage for Leaves of Absence, sick leave, vacation, etc. and may not necessarily be assigned to any particular branch. JOB VACANCIES. Qualifications for the job shall be posted by the Employer, and the posting shall include the shift and number of hours for the position. No employee shall be eligible to bid on Section 6.1 When a job vacancy or new position until vacancies occur within the employee has worked County employ- ment covered by this Agreement, the Employer will post in a conspicuous location at the agreed upon work locations and distribute for posting to the Union an announcement of such vacancies at least fifteen (15) calendar days prior to the date they are to be filled, except in the employee's existing job event of an emergency. Announcements of such vacancies shall contain the title of the positions to be filled, minimum qualifica- tions required for a minimum appointment, and the number and work location of one hundred eighty (180) daysvacancies. Section 6.2 When such vacancies are announced as provided herein, employees bid on vacancies or new positions in the employee's same classification. All who wish to be considered for appointment to such vacancies shall be bulletined for a minimum of five (5) calendar days, and allowed to file appropriate notice of therefore with the same furnished to the Union at the same time. Each Hospital shall develop a system to ensure that only applicants signing the posting during the five calendar day posting period will be considered. Preference for filling job vacancies shall be determined in the following manner:
1) First preference shall be given preference. In the event that the vacant or new position cannot be filled with a qualified employee from that classification then qualified applicants from other classifications to those employees presently working within the bargaining unit department to whom the vacancy will result in a promotion.
2) Second preference shall be considered based on bargaining unit senioritygiven to those employees whose transfer would result in a lateral transfer of job title and pay grade.
3) Third preference shall be given to those employees whose transfer would result in a new job title but remain in the same pay grade.
4) Fourth preference shall be given to all other County employees.

JOB VACANCIES.
