KEY DRIVERS Sample Clauses

KEY DRIVERS. The CPN Architecture has as concrete goal: the realization of an innovative virtual platform, flexible and extensible to future improvements. The key drivers/requirements of CPN architecture are: ➔ creation of new features starting from already existing components ➔ the features offered by the platform must be usable by different client applications (web, mobile, smart tv, etc.) ➔ the platform must define some rules and interfaces for the integration of new components and the extension of the platform itself with new features These requirements are clear and well defined within the project, while more detailed use cases, scenarios and functional requirements are being developed and will be available later in the project.

KEY DRIVERS. Although many of the features supported by the architecture will be dependent on the finalized use cases, the main/salient features of the architecture should be driven by the following aspects:
KEY DRIVERS. Key drivers of the targeted architecture depend on the considered use case. A common requirement includes however a global coverage for low data rates and/or voice services and a huge system capacity in terms of number of served terminals. At least for mobile scenarios, it is required to maximize the battery life time of the terminals. Besides, use cases related to IoT communications may require extremely long battery life time of the terminals up to several years. For use cases related to service and context continuity and to back-up service to the terrestrial network, terminals must be able to seamlessly handover between the terrestrial and satellite systems. Key Enablers The satellite is a natural candidate to provide global coverage for M2M communications and voice services. While a single GEO satellite enables to cover one third of the globe, a constellation of several satellites is required for global coverage when considering non-GEO satellites. Increased battery life time is achieved by considering energy efficient waveforms using low PAPR modulation schemes. Specific waveforms operating at very low SNR-ranges combined with advanced access techniques will enable to extend the battery life up to several years. Advanced random access techniques shall enable to increase the capacity of the system in terms of number of served terminals. Agile terminals will be considered to enable seamless handover between terrestrial and satellite systems. Key Design Features: Figure 8 – High-level architecture integrating satellite communication. The Key Design Features include:  User terminal with seamless ubiquitous access to the satellite and terrestrial links for low data rate services and energy efficient capabilities. The terminals optionally include software reconfiguration features for improved adaptability to the target framework (based on the recently published ETSI European Norms EN 302 969, EN 303 095, EN 303 146-1/2/3/4).  Adapted waveform for low PAPR and ultra-low SNR requirements.  Satellite eNodeB with enhanced MAC capabilities (SIC, interference management…).  Smart terrestrial-satellite resource management.
KEY DRIVERS. Over the last decade there has been an increasing recognition that 21st century living demands services that reflect the varied needs of our complex and interdependent society. The changing expectations of children, young people and families, the improved quality of life, demographic trends and changing economic circumstances have all contributed to the need for a ‘modern’ workforce which is highly skilled, well-trained and supported, and able to work in flexible ways. Changes at a European and global level have also has an impact, for example the implications of implementing the Lisbon Strategies of economic, social and environmental renewal – a key European policy setting the context for the children's workforce across the European Union4. This workforce has experienced a number of wide-ranging changes in recent years alongside significant amounts of government investment. This workforce is providing imaginative and innovative services and is supporting and developing individuals in their personal, family and community contexts to order to promote the positive outcomes set out in Every Child Matters5 (ie be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well-being). Both the sector’s wishes and government-led policy reflect these societal and economic contexts. The SSA provides a unique opportunity for skills development which helps realise the changes sought by the sector and which meet the drivers in policy documents, including6: • Every Child Matters reforms, in particular, The Children’s Workforce Strategy7 and related policies, including Youth Matters, Care Matters, and the extended Schools Agenda. • Implementation of the 2006 Childcare Act8. • Implementation of the National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services9. • The childcare strategy: The Best Start for Children: a ten year strategy for childcare10 • The Common Assessment Framework11

  • Drivers Any and all drivers who drive the Vehicles you are renting/leasing from us shall be duly licensed, trained and qualified to drive vehicles of this type. Although we may, from time to time, recommend certain qualified drivers with whom we are familiar, we do not supply drivers. You must supply and employ any driver who drives our Vehicles (even if the driver is the registered owner of the vehicle or owner of a company that owns the vehicle) and that driver shall be deemed to be your employee for all purposes and shall be covered as an additional insured on all of your applicable insurance policies.

  • New Hire Orientation The Union’s Business Representative or designee shall be given the opportunity to make a membership presentation at the employer’s regularly scheduled new employee orientation sessions.

  • Child Rearing Teachers shall be granted a leave for child rearing purposes of up to one (1) year without pay or increment. This includes both adoption and birth. Upon written request, such leave may be extended up to one (1) year without pay or increment.

  • Alcohol Testing Alcohol testing will be conducted by using an evidential breath testing device (EBT) approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Non-EBT devices may be used for initial screening tests. A screening test will be conducted first. If the result is an alcohol concentration level of less than 0.02, the test is considered a negative test. If the alcohol concentration level is 0.02 or more, a second confirmation test will be conducted. Levels of .04 or greater on the confirmation test will be considered positive.
