Laptop Use. Educational content and resources will be delivered through the laptops. a. Students, with support from parents/guardians, are expected to manage their laptops in a way that minimizes the likelihood of damage, loss and theft. b. The district will provide a protective case or carry bag for the laptop, which is recommended by the district to prevent device damage, as laptops in bookbags are susceptible to mechanical damage. c. Similar to textbooks, students are responsible for damage/loss/theft of the device. An optional laptop protection plan is offered by the district. d. Students are expected to bring their laptops to school in working order and fully charged. e. The district will provide all applications essential for schoolwork. f. Students are not to download or install software, operating systems, extensions or media without a district employee’s prior approval. g. Students will be responsible for managing available storage space on the device for curricular content. h. It is the responsibility of the student to back up any personal content from the laptop before the date the laptop will be collected. i. Students are not to write or draw on the laptop, or apply stickers or labels that are not property of the district. District stickers, labels, and tags are not to be removed. j. Use of the laptop must be consistent with District policies, including, but not limited to, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Student Code of Conduct. k. The district utilizes an Internet content filter that is compliant with the federally mandated Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). l. In the interests of safety and security, the district monitors users’ online activities and reserves the right to access, review, copy, store, or delete any electronic communications or files.

Laptop Use a. At School – the Laptop is intended for use at school each day. In addition to teacher expectations for Laptop use, school messages, announcements, calendars and schedules will be accessed using the Laptop. Students are required to bring their laptop to all classes, unless specifically advised not to do so by their teacher. b. At Home – you can take your Laptop home each night throughout the school year for charging. Laptops must be brought to school each day in fully charged condition. If the Laptop is left at home, you must immediately phone parents to bring the Laptop to school. Repeat violations of this Agreement may result in referral to administration. It is recommended that students not carry the AC adapter power cord (“charger”) to school. If fully charged at home, the battery will last throughout the day. a. Screensavers – inappropriate media may not be used as a screensaver. i. Presence of guns, weapons, pornographic materials, inappropriate language, alcohol, drug, and gang related symbols or pictures will result in disciplinary actions. ii. Passwords on screensavers are not to be used. iii. Hard drive passwords are forbidden. If used, you may be responsible for the cost of replacement hardware. c. Sound – sound must be muted at all times unless permission is obtained from the teacher for instructional purposes. d. Printing – you are not permitted to print from the Laptop at school. Teachers are encouraged to have students submit work electronically through Google Drive.
Laptop Use. Student acknowledges his/her responsibility for the laptop at all times during the course of this agreement and therefore understands they shall not allow any other person to have access to the laptop or take possession of the laptop during the duration of the online program.
Laptop Use. In addition to the above terms and conditions: a. Students must keep their District-issued laptop computers secure and damage-free. Each laptop is issued with a protective sleeve. Use of the sleeve is required at all times. b. A student may not take the District-owned laptop out of the school building, unless the student’s parent/guardian has signed an Agreement for Out-of-School Use of District-Owned Laptop. c. Students must follow these general guidelines for keeping the laptop secure and damage-free: • Do not loan your laptop or charger and cords. • Do not leave the laptop in a vehicle. • Do not leave the laptop unattended. • Do not eat or drink while using the laptop or have food or drinks in close proximity to the laptop. • Do not allow pets near the laptop. • Do not place the laptop on the floor or in sitting areas such as couches or chairs. • Do not leave the laptop near table or desk edges. • Do not stack objects on top of the laptop. • Do not leave the laptop outside or use it near water such as a pool. • Do not check the laptop as luggage at the airport. d. Students must follow copyright laws and should only download/import music or other files to District-owned technology if the student is authorized or legally permitted to reproduce the material, or if the student has the copyright for the material. e. Students may not download and/or install any programs, files, or games from the Internet or other sources onto any District-owned technology. f. Students are prohibited from tampering with computer hardware or software. g. Unauthorized entry into computers is prohibited. h. Vandalism or destruction of the computer or computer files is prohibited. Damage to computers may result in criminal charges. i. Students are prohibited from overriding, bypassing, or otherwise changing the Internet filtering software or other network configurations. j. Students must use District-owned technology for school-related purposes only, and must refrain from use related to commercial, political, or other private purposes. k. Students may not make use of materials or attempt to locate materials that are unacceptable in a school setting. This includes, but is not limited to pornographic, obscene, graphically violent, or vulgar images, sounds, music, language, video or other materials.   • Computers All computers, hardware, software, computer upgrades and maintenance in connection therewith shall be at Owner's expense.

  • Workstation/Laptop encryption All workstations and laptops that process and/or store DHCS PHI or PI must be encrypted using a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The encryption solution must be full disk unless approved by the DHCS Information Security Office.

  • Internet Use Customer assumes total responsibility for its and its users’ use of the Internet. Masergy specifically disclaims any warranties, endorsements or representations regarding any merchandise, information, software, products, data, files, or services provided through the Internet.

  • Cell Phones The College follows the State’s Cell Phone Policy. Employees who receive cell phones from the College shall also abide by this Policy. The College shall provide the Policy to any employee who is given a cell phone. Employees are responsible for the cost of all personal calls. While the College anticipates some incidental personal use of cell phones, it is also expected that such use is infrequent.

  • Data Use Each party may use Connected Account Data in accordance with this Agreement and the consent (if any) each obtains from each Connected Account. This consent includes, as to Stripe, consent it receives via the Connected Account Agreement.

  • Server Software Subject to the terms and conditions of this XXXX, Vocera grants you the non-exclusive right to (i) install and run (“Use”) the Server Software on computer systems (each, a “Server Computer”) located at End User’s Facilities in the geographic territory designated above (“Territory”); (ii) to Use the Client Software in conjunction with Authorized Client Devices and such Server Computers; and (iii) for pilot licenses for certain Software provided on a trial basis, use such Software for the limited term specified by Vocera in writing. You may Use the standard Server Software on one primary Server Computer (or a primary cluster of computers suitably configured for productive use of the Server Software). You may install backup copies of the Server Software on backup Server Computers to provide redundancy in the event of failure of the primary Server Computer(s) but, unless you have acquired additional licenses or a failover license from Vocera, you may not run such backup or additional copies concurrently with the primary copies. Vocera grants you the right to use the applicable License Key issued by Vocera only to enable Use of the Server Software in conjunction with the licensed Server Computers. Server Software may be licensed for a Subscription Term as specified in the Quote.

  • Antivirus software All workstations, laptops and other systems that process and/or store PHI COUNTY discloses to CONTRACTOR or CONTRACTOR creates, receives, maintains, or transmits on behalf of COUNTY must have installed and actively use comprehensive anti-virus software solution with automatic updates scheduled at least daily.

  • Software Inclusions Restrictions

  • Firmware 7.1 The Supplier must deliver the equipment, Goods or hardware equipped with all the firmware required to use all the Goods or hardware’s functions. Any software embedded in the equipment, Goods or hardware, including the firmware, is provided to the Local Government with a license to use this software, with all license costs and royalties being included in the Fee Schedule (Schedule C). All firmware will be the most recent version available at the time of shipping.

  • Personal Use I agree that the pupil will only use this device for educational purposes and not for personal use and will not loan the equipment to any other person.
