Layoff or Recall in Holiday Weeks. Employees on layoff or who are recalled in the pay weeks in which the public holidays fall, shall receive eight (8) hours' pay at regular rates for such holiday, provided he receives pay for hours worked in the month preceding or succeeding the Statutory Holiday. To qualify for this holiday pay, employees must work out their layoff notice or report to work on recall when required as the case may be.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • HOLIDAYS AND LEAVE For the purposes of leave provisions part-time employees working less than full-time or less than five days per week or less than 52 weeks per year receive a pro-rated entitlement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
