Learner Jobs. Learner jobs are not to be described or classified. Any learner job shall be assigned to job Class 2; provided, however, that an Employee who shall be transferred from another job in the particular Plant to a learner job shall remain in the job class for his former job during the learning period unless the Management, a xxxxxxx of the Union and the Employee shall agree that he shall be placed in a lower job class during his learner period.
Learner Jobs. Learner job requiring 'learner' rates, due to lack of adequate training opportunity provided by the promotional sequence related jobs, shall be negotiated and be made a part of this Agreement. A schedule of learner rates for the respective learning periods of hours of actual learning experience with the Company on jobs for which training opportunity is not provided by the promotional sequence of related jobs, shall be established at the level of the Standard Hourly Wage Scale rates for the respective job classes. This determination shall be on the basis of the required employment training and experience timer specified in Factor of the job classification record of the respective job as follows: Code Seven to twelve months:

Learner Jobs. The Company may continue learner jobs where such jobs are now in existence and may establish additional learner jobs by mutual agreement with the Union. Learner jobs are not to be described nor classified, but shall be assigned to a job class four job classes below the job class of the job being learned, except that an Employee transferred from another job to a learner job shall remain in the job class for his former job unless, by mutual agreement between the Union and Management, he shall be assigned to a lower job class. An Employee shall be assigned to a learner job only until he can perform satisfactorily the job for which he is being trained and in no event for more than 520 hours of actual work.
