Association Leave Days. The School Board will provide twenty (20) days to be used as Association Leave Days. The Polk Education Association agrees to reimburse the District for the cost of substitutes.
Association Leave Days. The Association will be provided up to one hundred (100) days during the school year for use as determined by the Association President, to perform Association business. The Association may request from the Human Resources Department to purchase additional days. The Association will purchase these days at the current substitute teacher rate. During bargaining, the Association may purchase up to an additional twenty-five (25) days.

Association Leave Days. 1. At the beginning of each school year, the Association shall be credited with fifty (50)* school days to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association, such use to be at the discretion of the Association.

The president of the Association shall approve such days and submit documentation of such to the business office no less than 3 days in advance of such leave. In case of an emergency, this timeline may be waived by the district. If any additional days are needed, such request(s) will be at the discretion of the Superintendent or his/her designee. Such days shall not be used for purposes of engaging in demonstrations, including labor disputes, on behalf of the MEA or Association.

The ASSOCIATION shall be granted up to twenty-five (25) days released time per year for use by administrators participating in professional organization activities and conferences. If a substitute is required for the use of these days, then the ASSOCIATION shall reimburse the BOARD for the cost of the substitute. Any absence of a particular administrator will need to be approved by the immediate supervisor and Superintendent at least one (1) week in advance of the absence. No individual may use more than five (5) of these days without approval of the appropriate Assistant Superintendent/Director.

Association leave days will be provided to allow members of the MSEA to attend Association business as follows: Non-bargaining years Ten (10) days Bargaining years Fifteen (15) days The cost of the substitute(s), based on the WillSub current daily rate, will be borne by the MSEA, and the Employers Retirement cost.
