Leave for professional appointments. Permanent full-time employees are entitled to a maximum of fourteen (14) hours of leave per year without loss of pay for professional appointments, etc. Permanent part-time employees are entitled to personal leave pro-rated for hours worked. This time is not to be used to prolong vacations or any other leave foreseen in the collective agreement with the exception of bereavement leave. Normally the employee will advise the immediate supervisor of the need for the leave two (2) days in advance. Personal leave does not accumulate from year to year (the year being calculated from June 1) Any time required beyond fourteen (14) hours will be without pay.

Leave for professional appointments. Subject to SESE Board approval, employees elected or otherwise selected to serve on the governing board of an area teacher center, State Board of Education/Department of Education Committee/Task Force or similar professional advisory policy-making body shall be allowed release time. Expenses for such meetings shall not be paid by the SESE Board.
Leave for professional appointments. Employees will be granted time off without pay to attend "professional" appointments, providing however, the Company is given as much advance notice as is possible under the circumstances. Forty- eight (48) hours advance notice will be provided to the Company whenever possible. Leaves under this provision shall be granted in writing, with a copy provided to the applicant. The Company has the right to request proof of “Professional Appointment” documentation. It is recognized by both the Company and the Union that most professional appointments do not require the entire day off. Where it can be established that it is necessary to take an entire day off to attend to a professional appointment the Employer agrees to cooperate with the employee’s request.

  • Medical/Dental Appointments ‌ Where medical and/or dental appointments cannot be scheduled outside the employee's working hours, sick leave with pay shall be granted.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.
