Leave Reduction. The sixty days of paid industrial accident or illness leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of indemnity award made under the Worker's Compensation Act. Days absent while on paid industrial accident leave shall not be deducted from the number of days of paid sick leave to which the unit member may be entitled.
Leave Reduction. As an alternative to suspension without pay, a Department Head may reduce an employee's vacation or compensatory time leave balances as a method of disciplinary action. Such reductions must be with joint approval of the employee. The Department Head may choose another form of discipline to substitute for, or to supplement, the leave reduction.

  • Leave Pay 1. All twelve month employees will be granted twelve sick leave days per year. All school year employees will be granted ten sick leave days per year. Employees will be given a written statement of accumulated sick leave days on October 1 of each year. Unused sick leave days will be accumulated on an unlimited basis. Sick leave is to be used when the employee is unable to work because of personal sickness, accident or disability.

  • Leave for Pregnancy Disability 10.6.1 Unit members are entitled to use sick leave as set forth in Sections 10.2.1, 10.2.2, and 10.2.3 for disabilities caused or contributed to by pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth, and recovery therefrom on the same terms and conditions governing leaves of absence from other illness or medical disability. The length of such disability leave, including the date on which the leave shall commence and the date on which the duties are to be resumed, shall be determined by the unit member and the unit member's physician.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Sick Leave Payment (a) The District shall for all Regular Full-time and Regular Part-time employees who have completed three (3) months continuous employment, subject to the conditions as set forth herein:

  • Extended Leave of Absence Professional employees who have attained renewable contract status may request extended leaves of absence for one (1) year without pay under any one of the circumstances listed in this section. All requests for such extended leave of absence will be applied for and granted or rejected in writing. Such application will be reviewed by the principal and superintendent. If the latter approves, he/she will recommend that the leave be granted by the Board. An employee returning from an extended leave will be assigned to the same position as that which he/she held before assuming the leave, providing that position still exists. By mutual agreement between the employer and the employees, he/she may be given a different assignment. Extended leaves of absence may be requested under, but not limited to, the following:

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
