Sick Leave Reimbursement. An employee who has received sick leave benefits for injuries caused by a third party shall be obliged, in the event such employee undertakes an action for recovery of damages against the third party, to seek recovery of the total cost of wages and benefits paid to the employee while on sick leave. The employee shall be obliged to reimburse the Employer to the extent the employee succeeded in recovering such wages and benefits. This provision includes claims made to ICBC.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. The Medium and Long Term Disability Plan benefits shall be reduced by any benefits an employee receives from the following sources:
i. any Workers’ Compensation Act or coverage or similar legislation;
ii. disability benefits payable by the Canada/Quebec Pension Plan (excluding dependent benefits and future cost of living adjustments);
iii. any amount of disability income provided by any compulsory act or law.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. This provision includes claims made to ICBC. In making a claim to the Court, the employee or his representative shall request the presiding judge, or judge and jury, to specify the amount of any award which is attributable to the recovery of the cost of wages, benefits and interest. In the case of an out-of-Court settlement a separate amount attributable to the recovery of the cost of wages, benefits and interest will also be specified.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. An employee who has received paid sick leave or paid extended sick leave for injuries caused by a third party shall be obliged in the event such employee undertakes an action or makes a claim for recovery of damages against the third party, to seek recovery of the cost of continuation of wages and benefits, and shall be obliged to reimburse the Employer to the extent the employee succeeds in recovering lost wages and benefits less the proportionate cost of legal fees. The Employer shall reimburse the sick leave and/or extended leave bank the amount of money paid out of sick leave on the employee's behalf in proportion to the total amount of money recovered. Without limiting the foregoing, this provision includes actions or claims made to ICBC.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. A teacher not using any sick leave days during the school year will receive Two Hundred Twenty Five Dollars ($225.00) at the conclusion of the fiscal year.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. The Corporation is subrogated to the rights of an employee who has received Sick Leave or Long Term Disability benefits, against any third party liable to that employee for damages, and may bring an action against the third party in the employee’s name to recover the wages and/or benefits paid or payable by the Corporation. The employee shall not enter any agreement for payment of legal fees relating to the wage or benefit portion of a claim for damages without the prior written consent of the Director of Human Resources. Where a claim for damages is made to the courts, the employee or his or her representative shall request the presiding judge, or judge and jury, to specify the amount of any award plus interest which is attributable to recovery of wages and benefits. Upon reimbursement of the wages and/or benefits, the Corporation shall reimburse the Sick Leave and Long Term Disability Plans, the amount of money paid out of the Plans in proportion to the total amount of money the employee reimburses the Corporation for wage loss and/or benefits. This provision includes actions or claims made to ICBC.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. Where any Employee receives reimbursement for lost salary from any third party for any absence, the Employee shall reimburse the Employer for all Sick Leave paid during such absence and the Employee shall be re-credited any Xxxx Leave credits used.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. Teachers who have reached maximum sick leave accumulation (100 days) at the conclusion of an academic year may redeem up to ten (10) unused sick leave days, at the rate of $35.00 per day, for purposes of tuition reimbursement for college work related to their present or future anticipated teaching assignment. It is understood that the teacher who has reached maximum accumulation (100 days) may also redeem any unused sick days from the ten (10) days credited to him/her at the beginning of the school year, so long as the maximum claimed for reimbursement does not exceed ten (10) days. Reimbursement shall not exceed the amount paid by the teacher for such course work during the preceding summer and academic year and must be verified by receipt.
Sick Leave Reimbursement. Retiring Teachers will be reimbursed for accrued, but unused sick days in accordance with the following:
Sick Leave Reimbursement. A teacher who is at least fifty-five (55) years of age and retires from the teaching profession and from District 204 will receive from the Board a reimbursement for up to two hundred and twenty-five (225) unused accumulated sick leave days at a rate of seventy-fivedollars ($75.00) per day, provided the teacher notifies the Superintendent in writing by April 1 of the school year in which he plans to retire. In the event of the death of the teacher, payment for unused accumulated sick leave days shall be paid at the above rate to the teacher’s beneficiary designated for the teacher’s life insurance policy provided by the Board under the provisions of the Agreement.
