LODGING AND MEAL ALLOWANCE. Teachers who must travel between schools to perform their duties and Teachers who attend workshops, meetings, conferences or conventions approved by the Board, or functions at the request of the Board, will be paid a travel allowance of if travel i s by car. Where more than one Teacher travels in the same car, the allowance will be paid only once. If travel is by public transportation such as air, rail, bus or taxi, actual costs will be paid. In cases where only one or two Teachers must travel, equivalent bus or Page train fare w i l l be paid. In a l l cases, the travel allowance paid shall not be less than per day. Actual costs of lodging w i l l be paid by the Board. Maximum allowance for meals i s breakfast lunch dinner (before tax). Receipts are required for all 'items. When it i s deemed appropriate by the Superintendent and Teachers involved that a large number of Teachers should attend a meeting, conference or workshop, the Superintendent may allocate a specific sum of money to be shared among the participants and this sum shall be deemed to be full payment of expenses incurred by the participants for such meeting, conference or workshop. NEW OR VACANT POSITIONS Although the Board has the sole right to create or to designate a new position to be filled by a Teacher comes within the scope of this agreement, it i s agreed that the salary and additional allowance for such a position be arrived at by consultation with the Teachers' Joint before the new position i s advertised or the appointment i s made. New or vacant positions (administrative or consultative) and teaching positions for September of the next school year which are known to be vacant by June 10th of the school year shall be first advertised i n every school within the North Shore District Roman Catholic Separate School Board five consecutive teaching days before advertising outside the said Board.   • Lodging and Meal Expenses 1. Employees in travel status in the performance of their duties shall be entitled to expenses of necessary lodging and/or meals as provided for in Section 40 of the Manual of Financial Procedures, Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy. Nothing contained in this Article shall be deemed to alter the present State policy prohibiting reimbursement for noon meals unless the meal is part of an organized meeting or program or overnight travel.

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.
